But of course it hasn’t. Because, as I said, Russia does NOT have a consistent, logical foreign policy, contrary to the post I was responding to.

‘Al-Jazeera Law’ – Israeli Parliament Passes Law Granting Netanyahu Authority to Ban Foreign Media

� Big-Ticket, Expensive, Heavily Armored NATO Tanks Mostly Overweight Duds in the Russo-Ukrainian War

Considering how much kerchief-twisting there was about it in the first place, and how they are doing in the war right now, handing over top-end NATO tanks to Ukraine doesn’t look like a great idea.

By a long shot, the enduring image of a NATO-standard modern main battle tank in the Russo-Ukraine War is a video of a stopped vehicle getting hammered by cheap FPV drones, before it gets set on fire and burns down to a six-million-dollar hulk.

Almost a year later, the Ukrainian army mostly uses advanced Western tanks like Leopard 2 as expensive artillery pieces, lobbing shells at the Russians from a long distance. They stay away from the front line.

Mike Riedmuller, a former US Army cavalry officer commanding Abrams tanks in combat in Iraq, in comments to Kyiv Post said that one reason NATO’s best tanks haven’t performed up to expectations in the Russo-Ukrainian War is that cheap drones are so dense over the battlefield that almost any time a tank breaks near the front line, swarms of drones buzz in to attack it.

“Now (in warfare in Ukraine) a mobility kill invites a swarm of cheap drones that can drop grenades show up and change the mobility kill into a catastrophic kill pretty quickly, no artillery needed,� Riedmuller told Kyiv Post.

Of the 31 American Abrams sent to Ukraine, at least five reportedly have been destroyed following the vehicle’s first serious commitment to combat in February. So the Company wanted me there to witness and approve the startup after the rebuild. I took the Engineman with me and told him to remove the fuel rack covers. I then started the electric pre-lube pump and switched on the fuel oil supply pump. I checked the racks of each Bosch-type injector and found over half of them were sticky and resistant to movement.. This was the original problem-no doubt-and these boobs had no idea. I then got some light oil and cleaned the sticky film off of each rack while exercising them, finally getting them to move freely. I fetched the First Engineer and Port Engineer and told them what I found and that the racks had to be lubricated and exercised at least once a day for several days and the interval lengthening progressively. To my amazement, they both seemed uninterested and distracted!. I started the engine and watched the governor (which was working properly) bring the machine to running speed. After a warmup period, I manually moved the rack rod to speed up and watch the governor action from low and high speed to a constant speed. Then I had the First sync the engine with the Main Bus and watched the load sharing regulation.

That completed, I exited and wrote my report, reflecting the indifference and ineptness of the crew. The entire West-and Japan, Australia-New Zealand governments are exactly comparable to these dunces and harlequins.

What I find funny about these two videos is that they start with the voices of Macgregor and Ritter respectively and then switch to some other (same) guy’s voice in both videos with similar (or same) footage of what seem to be US forces while talking about Russian forces. Have any of you ever been around a runaway diesel? I have. It just goes faster and faster and gets louder and louder until something explodes. Then it stops dead. Just right over there, in that garage, a mechanic spent maybe a month working to completely overhaul a semi’s engine. Then, on the magic day, he fired it up. But something had gone wrong.
