What the IP is confronted with here is a very scary potential scenario. There are many parks and streets in the LA area named after Simon Bolivar. I was working on a municipal pump station located at a park named after him just this Tuesday. I have been working there on and off for about a year now. Not a historian, but while waitin’ on others, I got curious about the park’s handle.

There was a big data dump on the senators and representatives the other day (Truth in Media? I forget who). I scanned it because I see all the time claims that X of them or Y% of them have Israel passports and I am curious what the exact number is. Not one of the items listed. When I explicitly google searched for citizenship status of lawmakers I was informed that dual citizenship of lawmakers is not legally required to be disclosed and considered their own personal business or some such.

Is there any peer-reviewed documentation regarding data of how many federal lawmakers have a spare passport stashed? If it is like 50 Israel, 1 Switzerland, and 1 New Zealand that would be fascinating if it is true and reliably documented.

A non-binding House Resolution has all the moral and legal authority of a letter to the editor. But this just makes the total defeat of the Leadership and Jewish Lobby all the more humiliating. I mean, if they can’t dictate the terms of a simple non-binding resolution against anti-Semitism then they really have been exposed as useless paper tigers.

They succeeded in getting Congress to approve a resolution against White people. That’s a far bigger win than getting a resolution against “anti-Semitism.” Condemnation of anti-Semitism is run of the mill.

I am glad the House of Representatives has taken a firm stand on the Dreyfus affair, which has no doubt been keeping 21st Century Americans awake at night for quite awhile now. But why no “Whereas Emmitt Till was martyred for hitting on a white woman in 1957 . . . ” This will be added by further amendment, no doubt.

But seriously, as Steve observes, this episode is simply beyond parody.

Recall that the original mission of the Democrats was to keep their caucus in line by showing that they would punish any renegade member who called unwanted attention to the all-important Israel/Jewish Lobby.

In the end, however, their actual message was: “Don’t you dare cross the Israel/Jewish Lobby or we’ll . . . say bad things about white people (which we were totally going to do anyway).” Not exactly the deterrent effect they originally had in mind.

The reference to the Dreyfuss Affair was by far the highlight of the Resolution. What potential anti-Semitism in the 19th Century French military had to do with Ilhan Omar’s comments, I’ll never know.

I would have appreciated a Whereas clause or two about Leo Frank, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, country club exclusions and absolutely, a reference to the demonic Haman, the viciously anti-Semitic advisor to the Persian king Xerxes, who was brought down low by the lovely Jewish Queen Esther, daughter of Mordecai. Next time…

All jokes aside, Pelosi brilliantly crafted a Resolution that keeps the focus on the Real Enemy and turned a potentially embarrassing episode for the Democrats into a comical rout of the racist, tone deaf Republicans. An attack that the Republican Congress voted for with bated breath.

There is a reason why Pelosi is in charge. This is simply an exercise in intellectual and moral Full Spectrum Dominance.
