Trump could very well lose 2020 over his support of the “red flag” law. I cannot understand his thinking on this matter. Signing such an infringement on the 2nd amend will NOT gain him any votes from the left wing anti 2nd amend advocates while a recent survey of 20,000 gun owners showed that 65% of them would not vote for Trump if he signs “red flag” into law.

I suppose that if he’s tired of being president he can get out of the job by signing the red flag bill and not appear to be a “quitter” since that’s pretty much a guaranteed way of losing the election.

In the increasingly combative world of politics, conservatives will stay silent for fear that liberal neighbors, family members, or psychologists label them “unstable.�

The whip doesn’t change, only horses and jockeys switch places.
Right-wing websites, especially the most-read and enthusiasm-creating, are so easy to call “freaks” “unstable” “mentally ill”, and (the best of all, the one that takes the cake) “narcissists”.
They also censor and try to ridicule as a “troll” whomever doesn’t share the shared delusions and fallacies.

Sometimes the major difference between groups is who’s got the shorter stick and who hasn’t. The other differences might be a bit apparent.

Lawyers tell me it’s unconstitutional – that much is obvious because the constitution says we are NOT to be deprived of our Right to Liberty without Due Process of law.

I’ve HAD it with the BS and feel like we need to not stop at cleaning house with the Feds, but eject STATE AND LOCAL governments in favor of a new, citizens-friendly one and institute the DEATH PENALTY for ANY politicians voting in favor of ANY law that a high school graduate can accurately tell is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!

History shows that the application of the law is a cultural phenomenon.

Trump has normalized gun control & homosexuality on the right.

Due to demographics we are unlikely to claw back these things with the present system.

They’ll probably organize campaigns encouraging liberals to report every gun owner they know of, like how feminists encourage every woman to accuse at least one man of rape. At least in blue states where the mayors, prosecutors, and judges are hostile to the Constitution there would be no obstacle, and almost all firearms could be confiscated “legally”
