Greil Marcus, b. 1944, is one of the three or so most famous rock critics of all time along with Lester Bangs and whoever you choose as the third. He's probably best known for his phrase about Bob Dylan's fascination with "the old, weird America." Marcus is a very bright guy, although some times his...

Fred McMurray should have been nominated for three Oscars: Best Actor, for Double Indemnity (1944); and Best Supporting Actor for The Caine Mutiny (1954) and The Apartment (1960).

R.G. Camara's reference to McMurray's right-wing politics, may help explain the Oscar snubs. That may have also figured into Ward Bond, one of the world's greatest movie actors, getting snubbed.

    Replies: @R.G. Camara, @Reg Cæsar, @James Braxton, @AceDeuce

Could be, although McMurray, while a staunch Republican and devout Catholic, was much quieter about his views and not as in your face and outspoken as Ward Bond was. There were many conservatives in Hollywood back then. Jimmy Stewart wasn’t hurt by being one, nor was Barbara Stanwyck, who was on a level with Bond as a fire-breathing right winger.

McMurray was very well-liked by everyone he worked with. If there was anything that he was noted for other than his quality work, it was financially. He was, thanks to real estate and shrewd investing, one of the richest men in Hollywood, and also, simultaneously, one of the cheapest. Billy Wilder loved McMurray and said the only argument the two ever had was while filming The Apartment. One scene has McMurray in his executive office getting his shoes shined by a negro. At the end he flips the shine guy a coin as payment. Wilder gave McMurray a half dollar to flip, as it was large enough to be visible in the shot. McMurray was aghast at the thought of paying, even imaginarily, 50 cents for a shoeshine (remember, this was the total for the fee and the tip) and at first refused to do the scene until Wilder talked him into it.

Just get rid of the asylum system altogether. The whole “processing†schtick gives migrants an incentive to give it a try. Only a resolute: “no migrants are welcome here†can keep them out. If you still want the economic benefits of high-skilled migration; look towards Saudi Arabia or the UAE for their citizenship model. So what this shows is that USAMRIID had 2 breaches of containment which resulted in the lab leaking a disease or multiple diseases to the community, infecting non lab workers...So in summary, Fort Detrick leaked 1 or multiple diseases before the end of June 2019, resulting in infections in the surrounding community.

It's possible that something leaked out of Ft. Detrick. As I've discussed in my articles, there have certainly been many previous cases of dangerous leaks at biowarfare facilities:

    https://www.unz.com/runz/american-pravda-waging-biological-warfare/

However, if something leaked it certainly wasn't Covid. The Covid virus is exceptionally contagious, and absent strong public health measures, infections double every 3-6 days, with cases multiplying by something like 100x or 1000x every month.

If Covid had leaked from Ft. Detrick in June or July, America would have seen a gigantic national epidemic by October or November. We didn't so it didn't.

Anyway, how would that explain how the Covid virus jumped to Wuhan in China? Or infected Iran's political elites a few months later? Or why Dr. Robert Kadlec began running his eight-month Crimson Contagion exercise in January of 2019?

A hypothetical Ft. Detrick lab-leak in mid-2019 doesn't answer any questions or solve any problems. I discussed it at length in a section of one of my 2021 articles:

One thing I always marvel at is in WWI movies, where troops saw wave after wave, climb out of the trenches, charging into no man’s land, being cut down completely, and then, it’s your turn to do the same, and you do it. Basically, charging into certain death!

Which is actually what happened in numerous battles.

The Somme was completely f-cking insane and would be seen as unbelievable in a movie. It would be NC-17 and no one would think the British could have been that stupid.

The British could see that the artillery attack had failed and yet they kept walking towards the German lines. The Germans killed so many men that they started yelling at them to retreat. Some Germans stopped firing because they couldn't stand to kill any more men.

Fun fact: All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) used real German veterans.

I've seen a lot of war movies and there is something uniquely visceral about the hands on the barbed wire scene. It really creeped me out. I found the movie to be more unsettling than the book.

The whole Great War was unbelievable stupid. White man fail. (We’re smarter than most other people … but sadly still not that smart.) Not just 1914, but continuing, destroying millions of young lives, the flower of Europe.

One problem is scaling up leadership beyond the tribe. A tribal leader can not afford to treat his people like that. A fight might be ridiculously bloody, but there is some compelling purpose, some potential gain to be had or loss to be avoided and the expectation of good decisions made. If he just pissed away young men’s lives pointlessly, he’d wake up with a spear in belly and there would be a new leader.

In a fairer world, a whole host of “leaders”–not just the Czar–would have been executed by their own people for this debacle.

In a better world, the whole rotten enterprise would never have taken place.

Agree and it was a shame that White leaders on both sides thought it was fine to line up 18 year olds and march them into machine guns. Total madness and both sides kept doing it under the belief that they could win a war of attrition.

The mind boggling part is that the British had plenty of volunteers at the start of the war.

All these Brits thought they would kill a few Germans and come home as heroes.

The Germans weren't innocent either. They had no problem with drowning 18 year old merchant marines if it meant stopping a shipment of food to Britain. It was also madness for them to try and fight two fronts. Defeating France became a cause of German prestige. They mostly wanted France to surrender so they could declare victory.

Just a horrible war and yes a case of Whites going stupid on both sides and especially at the leadership level.

In a fairer world, a whole host of “leadersâ€â€“not just the Czar–would have been executed by their own people for this debacle.

Woodrow Wilson should have been dropped in no man's land. Whites need to stop supporting these leaders that want war but with the sons of the poor. American Indians thought it was cowardly for leaders to not fight in a war that they supported. Alexander the Great would charge in every battle which was actually a Greek tradition.

Conversely I concluded that most gay men are hopeless and born that way.

You concluded that for most men with exclusive same-sex attraction, the condition was both innate and immutable*? On what basis?
(*As opposed to merely being considerably, even profoundly more entrenched; more deeply ingrained than the female counterpart.)

    Bisexual men were extremely rare

What about otherwise and even primarily heterosexual men who also find erotic appeal[1] in adolescent boys (but not in fully mature, adult men)? I would posit that such men are not rare, and may even be fairly common. At least considerably more so than is usually acknowledged or perceived.

which also didn’t match the often cited “10%†by the media.

    From https://bi.org/en/questions [2]:

According to a 2011 study conducted by the Williams Institute at UCLA, approximately 2.2% of women identify as bisexual (compared to 1.1% who identify as lesbian) and approximately 1.4% of men identify as bisexual (compared to 2.2% who identify as gay).

A 2021 Gallup survey of the adult population of the United States found that 4.3% of women and 1.8% of men identify as bisexual. Scientific studies have verified bisexual arousal patterns in both men and women.

Perhaps the 10% figure you cited (source?) is of the subset of the general male population that identifies as LGBTQ?

All the anecdotes I heard from liberal women suggested that bisexual men were actually gay and trying to convince themselves otherwise.

Such skepticism/denial is hardly new. Nor is it limited to women, liberal or otherwise.

To such individuals, I would ask: Which part am I only making-up or imagining: The attraction to females since at least the age of seven? Or the attraction to adolescent males [1] that first manifested itself when I already was one myself, desparately trying to grasp on to something I was rapidly losing?

Not a single liberal woman had a positive experience with one and they all found it gross.

How many such women were eager, zealous enforcers of Wokeness? Presumably most, if not all.

[1] Note the critical distinction between mere attraction and any actual behaviors. Note, moreover that even the specifically erotic element of an attraction/appeal/fascination/love can (a) fall anywhere along a vast spectrum of wholesomeness; and (b) be but part of a much greater, complex whole.

    [2] Note that Bi[.]org

You concluded that for most men with exclusive same-sex attraction, the condition was both innate and immutable*? On what basis?

Being forced to work around them on a daily basis. It’s obviously anecdotal but it isn’t as if anyone is allowed to study them. I was more open to the possibility of Christian type therapies until I spent time around them.

They are hopeless. Their brains are simply wired differently. They are not straight men with just a few genes flipped. They are gay 24/7.

I completely understand why society once tried to closet them. They are consumed by perversion to degrees unimaginable. They don’t have female or normal straight male brains. It’s something very different and I’m not surprised that most Christian therapies have low success rates. In fact the worst thing you could do is send them off to a camp with other gays.

But closeting them isn’t the answer either. They marry a woman that they aren’t attracted to and pass on their genes. It’s cruel to the women and a lot of these gays use the church as a cover. The Catholic priesthood has become a profession for gays. So closeting them basically encourages predatory behavior. I don’t support celebrating them but there has to be a third option.

What about otherwise and even primarily heterosexual men who also find erotic appeal[1] in adolescent boys (but not in fully mature, adult men)? I would posit that such men are not rare, and may even be fairly common. At least considerably more so than is usually acknowledged or perceived.

I see no reason to believe that such men are fairly common. If that were the case it would be reflected in mainstream pornography.

I also wouldn’t assume such men are heterosexual. Such attractions were written about in Greek/Roman literature but we actually don’t know how common it was given that artists and writers tend to push sexual norms. If aliens judged America by Hollywood movies they would think we are hopelessly perverted. Greeks and Romans also wrote about sex with animals and gods.

    From https://bi.org/en/questions [2]:

If you are going to provide a source then link directly to a statement.

    That’s a list of questions.

The media often cites “10%” without any source. That number originally comes from Kinsey and was entirely speculative.

Even the latest polls don’t show LGBT identification about 6%:
    https://news.gallup.com/poll/329708/lgbt-identification-rises-latest-estimate.aspx

Sailer showed us an interesting study where most bisexual women have only had 1 partner. So identity still doesn’t tell us anything. It is trendy to be not straight so of course some people will push the definition.

But the 10% number is a complete myth. I unfortunately had to work around gays and I never heard of them talk about these bisexual men that are supposedly everywhere. I just don’t buy into it but feel free to disagree.

Having served in the first World War, Mosley knew first hand about the horrors of war, unlike that coward and perpetual warmonger Winston Churchill.

It was well known once a media outlet is purchased by the Murdoch family, objective reporting on such issues as Holocaust scepticism and Jewish power becomes snarky. All Western media is like that now having been bought as Woody Harrelson recently explained on SNL. Rupert has been known to say he can’t understand why “Jewish press” criticises Israel. He is referring to his own journalists’ reporting on Israel from the Middle East. It is the ideology that counts for him not the actual reality which is characteristic of Jews.

Take "single-payer healthcare" and strip out the Orwellianism: Communist medicine.

Communism causes shortages. It is in fact normal for hospitals to be overcrowded during the winter. They can't change prices, so they can't adapt supply to demand. You can't pay with money so you pay with extra time or doing without.

Speaking of Communism, public Prussian Communist school makes the students victims think they are educated. If they're educated, anything they hadn't heard about before is something that hasn't happened before, right?

First time hearing about the overcrowding was transmuted into a first time happening of the overcrowding. Communist ignorance is quite useful to the Regime.

You cannot be more wrong. In France it is what you are calling “communist medicine” which is being destroyed. To give place for private, lucrative medicine and hospitals. Often with US investments like Blackrock. Thus the number of beds is shrinking, doctors and nurses are forbidden to work if they did not take the Pfizer jabs. The shortage are created by the government which is far from communist, quite the contrary: corporate friendly.

As a counter example, communist Chinese created hospitals with beds in some 10 days when necessary.

Given your distinctly Communist tone, I can clearly see that French medicine is like American: the "private" hospitals have to obey a stack of regulations ten feet high, making them about as independent of the government as a bureaucrat's tapeworm. That's what 'Blackrock investment' means. Blackrock is the Fed's personal money-launderer.

See my explanation in the comment above. Of course, you know all this, but don't have a good answer, so you keep using ad hominem. Then again, you bought the Russian government claims last April that it's losses were only 1,350 personnel - now we know that the bulk of the Russian losses in the first year came in the first couple months of the war, so, again, you are the one who looks "totally ridiculous."

I don’t think he’d actually realized what he’d been doing until I pointed it out, so he got very angry and defensive, and since then he’s been quite obstreperous on all these Ukraine issues.

I’ll tell you a shocking secret. Don’t tell anyone else, okay? Often open source analyses are much more accurate and timely than those produced by the intelligence community. I know, I know, crazy, huh? Especially given that the latter spends billions of dollars and has all kinds of technical wonders its disposal (interestingly enough, the massive data intake actually paralyzes the intelligence agencies). Jim Dunnigan, a war game designer, has a funny story about inventing a combat odds calculation system for his games (roll the dice!) in a few minutes and later being visited by USG, because it resembled a classified system that the USG spent billions deriving.

Moreover, open source analyses are very transparent about their methodology. Take my crude estimate of 8,000 Russian KIA. It’s based on a compilation of Russian and Ukrainian vehicle losses (in turn based on visual confirmations) and comparing the loss rate to that suffered by the U.S. in the Iraq War. Is this a perfect or even an accurate methodology? Probably not, but it’s better than those based on “feelz†and are based on concrete, material evidences. You can certainly argue about the quality of those evidences or the rigor of the methodology, but that’s a different argumentation altogether than debating conflicting “feelz.â€

You just seem to want to be "right" on the internet more than want to construct as accurate a model of reality as possible.

Unlike you, I don't have a problem giving credit where it's due. For example, when you rely on publicly available, transparent, and falsifiable data and come up with an analysis, I tend to given credence (as I did on your analysis of excess mortality from Covid vaccines).

But on this issue, you derive all your assertions from the rantings of a figure (Macgregor) who has been demonstrated to be wrong, repeatedly and almost comically, but don't seem to be able to "revise the priors" for some reason and instead engage in all sorts of unprincipled "debate tactics" to discredit me, instead of honorably conceding that my assessments from last April and on seemed to have been on the mark and Macgregor's completely off-the-mark.

The West has been very open about the goal of defeating, dismembering and controlling Russia. But China isn't about to let that happen and it's surprising that the neocons in charge haven't realized this. It is in China's best interest to continue trading with an intact Russian state for its rich natural resources, and Russia's collapse into smaller statelets would send those resources to the West. Therefore it is in China's best interest to back Russia in the Ukraine.

For twenty years, the official policies of the US government have had the unintended consequence of pushing Russia and China together, such that Sino-Russian cooperation became a logical option and in fact a matter of survival for both countries. History has shown over and over that when a hegemon emerges, other nations unite and bring it down. That's what's happening now.

It is the height of hubris to think that the US can take on both Russia and China at the same time but the US government is being run by extremely stupid people, and that's where we're at. It's all going to be a major fail. Sit back, grab the popcorn and wait for it.

I will say that I'm beyond surprised that so many women leaders in the EU and European governments are so hawkish on war. The foreign minister of Germany (Baerbock ?) is a good example. In her first important political position she very quickly turned from a fringe greenie to a crazy, no restraints warmonger. Because it harms Russia it's suddenly okay with her for Germany to burn coal rather than use Russian gas. I've heard nary a word from her (or Habeck) about the horrendous ecological event that transpired as a result of the US blowing up the two gas pipelines. For Baerbock suddenly climate change is a very distant 2nd priority of her political agenda.

And certainly your mention of Albright is appropriate. As a reminder to readers, it was Albright who, when questioned whether or not the invasion of Iraq was worth the death of up to a half million Iraqi children, responded with a quick and casual. "Yes, I think it was".

Sure, I've made that point at considerable length and detail in all of my articles, starting in 2012. But the most recent results are especially astonishing.

White Gentiles are a substantial majority of the American population and probably represent roughly 60-70% of our highest performing high school students, but they seem to have recently dropped to only about 10% of the students at Harvard, and not much more at most of the other elite colleges. This is an absolutely astonishing result that I discussed in my most recent article on the subject:

    https://www.unz.com/runz/challenging-racial-discrimination-at-harvard/#comment-5641178

These are, I submit, some of the most important words ever written on the relationship between political power and social management.

Here are two more relevant excerpts from the same article (emphasis in bold mine).

For decades the primary pipeline for joining America’s political, media, financial, or academic elites has been represented by Harvard and our other elite colleges, and I demonstrated that the distribution of their students sharply diverged from that of our society as a whole or its highest performing segment.

these proportions are considerably different from what we actually find among the admitted students at Harvard and its elite peers, which today serve as a direct funnel to the commanding heights of American academics, law, business, and finance.

In other words, since the second half of the 20th century and so far in the 21st, Harvard, et al. functions in the same way Oxford and Cambridge did in the 18th and 19th century in England. That is to say, not as a training ground for pure science and scholarship, but for direct entry into the governmental world. That is to say, the world of social management. In fact, that’s why in the 19th century The Times published the debates between students at Oxford and Cambridge.

If they did that today the entire system of social management as it now exists in the United States, and not just the United States, would collapse on its own footprint faster than you can say Identity Politics. The reason for this, of course, is because debate is a theoretical enterprise and theory has been replaced at these institutions with indoctrination. And now we’re back to Ron’s quote at the top of this comment and the enormous problems alluded to.

Though I think that it’s right and good that our universities should be training grounds for the purpose of social management, and not simply for pure science and scholarship, my point is that they way the elite are going about it is only succeeding in creating a increasingly dysfunctional and dangerously maladaptive society.

Supremacy Inc., or the hostile elite, whatever descriptor one wants to use, have done two things to the university, and both are connected. 1. They’ve converted the university as primarily a teaching-learning institution into an economic institution and 2. They were able to do so by first eliminating high culture from higher learning, which of course go together. That’s why indoctrination has replaced education. This is the source of the dysfunction and maladaptation mentioned above.

And by high culture is simply meant high level problem-solving and significant innovation in all areas of human activity important for our survival. From this perspective the phrase high culture has nothing at all to do with being able to quote Shakespeare at cocktail parties. It has to do with serving our social institutions in general and our teaching-learning institutions (particularly at the university level) as adaptational mechanisms, which is what our social institutions are, modes of adaptation.

And the institutions that keep, not just a civilization, but a species going at one stage in its history can destroy it at another. And that is the situation we are in. And the obsession of power politics by its participants has kept us from seeing, saying, and doing something about this unpleasant fact.

The most important ingredients, so to speak, of high culture are prolonged problem exposure and solution postponement (because this prevents the premature termination of data-gathering).
These require not only superior intelligence, but also the ability of the individual to put themselves under severe intellectual pressure and the ability to postpone gratification. In other words, not only to be able to tolerate high levels of cognitive tension, psychological disorientation and emotional disturbance, but to actually seek them out.

Power centers depend on innovation for their survival and innovation involves problem-searching, problem exposure, and problem-solving. But first and foremost, it depends on problem-awareness.
But the university today, of course, works directly against all of this. As anyone can see who can bear to look, the consequences are immense.

The university is supposed to provide a safe space for the rehearsal and endurance of the tension, disorientation and disturbance involved in all high level problem-solving. The teachers job is to facilitate that process. More fundamentally, they’re also supposed to impart knowledge and remove ignorance. Not moralize a wicked world. But, thanks to the hostile elite and their many enablers in the public, teaching and learning has been eliminated from our teaching-learning institutions. The result? Cultural Impoverishment and Societal Collapse.

Though one should be grateful to Ron Unz for his website in general (the best website in the brief history of the Internet) and for his quantitative analysis of our universities in particular (of who occupies them and why), it is obviously high time for an in-depth qualitative analysis of what students should be learning, but aren’t, so as to direct attention to our teaching-learning institutions as adaptational mechanisms so essential for our survival.

Weather forecasting wasn’t great in the 40’s. B-29’s were sent out from the Marianas with weather officers to gather data to improve forecasts over Japan, where it was too often overcast and prevented visual bombing.

And we seriously discovered the jet stream, which made precision daylight bombing even more difficult. Didn't really work until a later model of B-29 with an (improved?) radar based sight came into service, by which time Curtis LeMay had been sent into fix the general problem and did so with night time low level incendiary bombing which trashed the Japanese supply chain (the best book I've found on all this is Whirlwind: The Air War Against Japan, 1942-1945). Although see above per the Downfall book, they still were able to make and hoard 8,000 Kamikazes.

The big problem for Western Pacific weather forecasting was a total lack of cooperation from the Soviet Union, which hued to the Soviet–Japanese Neutrality Pact signed after they skunked the latter at Khalkhin Gol in the second half of 1939. Given the earth's general west to east wind and weather patterns that deprived us of vital data; compare to D-Day when the reporting forecaster told Eisenhower et. al. on Sunday at 9 pm "Gentleman, since I presented the forecast last evening some rapid and unexpected developments have occurred over the North Atlantic" for what became the Tuesday morning landings. The Germans were infamously deprived of such data and didn't predict the break in the weather, many officers left the front for war games inland, leave was granted to many men, and as you probably know Rommel returned to Germany.

The jet stream was discovered by German Zeppelin crews in WWI. Although Zeppelins were untouchable at the beginning of the war, as aeroplane technology improved they had to go higher and higher to evade interception. Crews learned that if they went above a certain altitude they would encounter very strong westerly winds that would blow them far off course (i.e. over France). The Germans lost many ships to this before they realized what was going on.

An erudite, well-written, and informative piece from Dr. Joyce, as always. But I have one nit to pick -- the author's narrative frame. He takes the long-discredited, intrinsically semitic supremacist construct of so-called "anti-semitism" seriously, and tries to prove that the topic of the first part of his essay is somehow not "anti-semiticist."

Dr. Joyce is far from a fool, but this is a fool's errand. Inherent in the structures of systemic tribalism is the expectation that the goyim must always praise and glorify People of Semitism. When the level of this glorification is judged to be in any way "inadequate" in a particular instance, this constitutes so-called "anti-semitism." Who gets to judge this adequacy? MOTs -- and only MOTs. You can't win when you choose to play on the other side's field, by their rules, letting them be the referees. All you're doing is implicitly endorsing/ reinforcing the semitic supremacist canard of so-called "anti-semitism"... and the narrative frame that it sets.*

Looking at it from a slightly different perspective, Dr. Joyce makes a penetrating observation here:

Shylock’s tribe has been offended, and, nominated by fate as their representative, he will have his revenge on one of the city’s most prominent Christians on their behalf. He wants it to be painful, and he wants to literally take a piece of the man who slighted his people.

In Jewish understandings and stagings of the play, this pendulum dynamic is entirely lost. Shylock exists only as the passive victim of Christian aggression, forced into bitterness by relentless, unprovoked, and unfair persecution.

But this is precisely the core narrative purpose of the long-debunked "anti-semitism" trope -- to obscure and deny that intergroup pendulum dynamic, while promoting semitic supreme victimhood. Anyone who deploys the term unironically is implicitly endorsing that denial. The reigning dogma in the current year is that any and all conflict between the Tribe and gentiles must be portrayed as resulting from this putative irrational, insane hatred which all Gentiles harbor toward the self-chosen people... for no reason at all. Any discussion of history of conflict over resources, territory, customs, or any differing collective interests whatsoever between the Tribe and the goy Other is entirely irrelevant from their standpoint** -- that's what the falsely-reified semantic construct of "anti-semitism" means. As antitribalism experts have long noted, extreme moral particularism is a fundamental characteristic of toxic semitism.

    *See also "I'm not 'racist'!"

**It goes without saying that the facts of a particular situation are also entirely irrelevant to the promotion and enforcement of this hegemonic semitic narrative frame.

  • @Anon 2
Although you may be of (part) German origin, you sound like you never lived in Europe because nothing you say seems to be based on lived experience.

    1. Germans were doomed from the start: Today there are 240 million Slavs and only 120 million Germanics (incl. 20 million Scandinavians). Similar ratio 1000 years ago. Fact: Germans don’t like each other very much - as tourists, they will cross the street to avoid saying “Hi†to other Germans. That’s one reason why so many Germans have left their homeland in the last several centuries. Steve Sailer always says, “Bad Germans stayed in Europe, and good Germans came to America.†Ethnic Germans are disappearing in Germany at the rate of 200-250,000 a year. Foolishly, they are being replaced by Muslims. And there is no fool like a German fool, e.g. tiny Germany declaring war on the U.S. in December 1941;

    2. Germans are as dumb as a doorknob when it comes to politics, as Bertrand Russell pointed out (although he put it more diplomatically). This no doubt is partly due to the fact that Germans have been afflicted by bloated egos and delusions of grandeur so they are incapable of seeing things as they truly are. Philosophically, they never developed British-style empiricism which would have kept them closer to empirically verifiable facts. Instead they always develop ideologies which become progressively more and more psychotic, e.g. Lutheranism which has little to do with Jesus’ teachings (for example, would Jesus have said, “Sin boldly!†as Luther did), then Marxism and Nietzscheanism (both psychotic), and finally Nazism - the most psychotic of them all. The adage, “Neurotics build castles in the air, and psychotics move in†applies better to Germany than any other nation;

    3. But there is no greater example of dumb Kraut behavior than consistently making enemies only in Europe, and primarily in Central and Eastern Europe. History of Germanics can be summarized in one sentence: From the Sack of Rome in AD 410 by the Visigoths to the Sack of Warsaw in 1944 by the Germans. 1500 years of history, and zero evidence of moral progress. 1500 years of making enemies in Europe with constant invasions (Goths etc, Vandals, Vikings, Berserkers, Crusaders, Teutonic Knights, etc etc). No wonder that in 1945 and beyond Europe and the U.S. came down on the Germans like a ton of bricks. Germany has been reduced to a non-entity, and Germans are being kept on a short leash because it’s clear that Germans are incapable of ruling themselves in a civilized manner, and therefore are liable to produce another Hitler. At least the Brits, the Dutch, and the French, unlike the Germans, were smart enough to go and make enemies overseas.

Citing stupid CNN clips to support your view of the Ukraine war is ridiculous.

BTW, I just discovered that Col. Lawrence Wilkinson, former Chief of Staff to Colin Powell and a highly-regarded mainstream figure, has exactly the same views as McGovern, Sachs, Mearsheimer et al on the Ukraine War, the Nord Stream pipelines, the possible collapse of NATO, etc. Here's a recent interview:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FvOBQSC6rQ

Wilkinson is an ultra-establishment individual, currently at a mainstream thinktank, and he very remarkably stated that Russia is today much more of a real democracy than the United States.

I vaguely recall there's famous Edgar Allan Poe story about the inmates of an insane asylum seizing the premises and a visitor noting the rather "odd" behavior of the professional staff.

What's essentially happened is that the crazy Neocons have used money and fanaticism to seize control of almost all our MSM outlets so that only hireling idiots and ignorant fanatics can get on TV, just like had happened prior to the Iraq War. That's exactly what Sachs and others have said. So individuals such as you who draw all your knowledge of the world from the MSM are easily to trick, and the same is true for politicians.

    2. Ukraine government has a law on its books that permit Army commanders to shoot to kill deserters. Ukraine army doesn't want to deal with a normal procedure which would be a Court's Marshall. Too time consuming (and too visible) for Ukraine.

You don’t know this. It is your personal opinion, basically composed from hearsay and supposition. Everything I read and see including the NPR story I recently posted about how the mayors of 3 Russian speaking Ukrainian cities have now embraced Ukrainian nationalism takes the opposite point of view.

    2. Ukraine government has a law on its books that permit Army commanders to shoot to kill deserters. Ukraine army doesn’t want to deal with a normal procedure which would be a Court’s Marshall. Too time consuming (and too visible) for Ukraine.

Perhaps they do. Or not. Show us a copy of the law in English. There will always be people who don’t want to fight. As in the USA, some will run to other countries like Canada. Russia has hundreds of thousands who have bailed to other countries rather than fight against Ukraine. I’m sure Ukraine would have similar people. Sometimes, people need to get kicked in the ass. I have no problem with shooting deserters when a countries future is at stake.

    3. Ukraine is not a democracy. Its government is closer to the North Korean government than any western government model.

For your information Ukraine has prohibited Ukrainian men age 18 to 60 from leaving Ukraine. From Business Insider on August 3, 2022 ( https://www.businessinsider.com/ukrainian-rules-keeping-men-in-country-undermine-war-against-russia-2022-8 ):

Soon after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, Kyiv filed a notice with the United Nations secretary-general that it would be establishing martial law and derogating from its obligations under a number of human rights treaties due to national emergency.

Among these derogations was the right to freedom of movement for adult men aged 18 to 60, who have since then been barred from leaving the country and denied the ability to flee the war with their families, regardless of their training or fitness for military service.

It is also quite likely that Ukraine would have a more serious problem finding bodies for its army if men in this 18 to 60 age group could leave. Over 7 million Ukrainians fled Ukraine when the first shots were fired in February 2022. This number would probably be closer to 14 million if Ukrainian men could vote with their feet.

As it is Ukraine is now sending out press gangs to round up unwilling Ukrainian men to feed to the war's meat grinder.

In short, jojo, you are, as usual, wrong.

Indian jealousy for China's rise is true but that is only part of the whole picture. You cannot deny that China (when it was a shithole) too was jealous of the rise of the West and Japan, once upon a time. Indian hatred for China is more than just jealousy of China's rise or some border conflict. Thay are all true but it is bigger than that. Indian hatred for China is driven by a deep ingrained belief among Indians that China is an Imperialist hegemon, an enemy country which wants to keep India down, a threat to Asia. Indeed Indians look at China in the same way thay look at the West, as an Imperialist evil entity, one more "West" in the East. Indeed this "West" is so bad that Indians are ready to ally with the real West (which they hate too but less than China) against the Eastern "West".
Indian opinions towards China is no different han Chinese opinions towards the West. And there is far more similarity in Indian opinion towards China to China's opinion about Japan, a People's Liberation Army article I had read long time ago, had noted this similarity. This anti-Japanism (riled up Chinese politicians) existed even before WW2 and played a major part in inciting the Japanese invasion of China in 1937.
Similarly Indian anti-Sinoism at times riled up by Indian politicians (like Chinese politicians had done with Japan) has taken a life of its own and is now for all purposes, more or less permanent now.

Just like how Chinese elites brainwashed poor ignorant Chinese streetshitters against Japan int he 30s. Name-calling and strong language are so uncivilised, especially on a forum like this one. Usually they are an indication that the perpetrator has no real arguments.

History is not a science, certainly not a “social science,” but an academic discipline, part of the trivium, or the “coscienza” as Giambattista Vico called it. However, just like in real science, what matters is not the opinion of a majority or plurality of historians, but evidence, unequivocal historical facts, and these, especially when essential or significant, are quite rare. Even then, they need to be held to the light and compared to other data, both older and fresh. While this is being done here and there, the results of that activity rarely find their way into established narratives.

If you are a professional historian (since there are many out there who are as intolerant as you), I assume you know how this process works.

If you are not, and if you aren’t a linguist either, I have the impression that the breadth and depth of your knowledge does not qualify you to be taken seriously.

    It was never debunked.

You consider having an outhouse to be acceptable within your definition of indoor plumbing.

    The first world does not.

If someone were to buy a house in the US they would not consider it to have indoor plumbing if it didn’t have a modern toilet connected to a septic tank or sewer. They would laugh if you took them to an outhouse. An outhouse is not only unsanitary but unsafe for children. They also explode on occasion from built up sewer gasses. Ivan lights a cigarette and boom it goes.

Russia is the outhouse empire. I’ll post the article again and let the readers decide:
    https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2019/04/02/indoor-plumbing-still-a-pipe-dream-for-20-of-russian-households-reports-say-a65049

Instead of building a 1.3 billion dollar mansion Putin could have built a lot of septic tanks.

Even the most remote cabin rentals in the US normally have a toilet. They have a well for water and an independent septic tank. It really isn’t hard to build one. In fact it is easy compared to a well. Centralized sewage systems are for dense areas.

    •ï¿½Replies: @Wokechoke
    @John Johnson

This is actually a myth — its origins are well-known and it’s very easy to debunk, but it provides for a good propaganda story, so you see it repeated all the time, by you and your sock puppet.

The source of this claim is this article:

Indoor Plumbing Still a Pipe Dream for 20% of Russian Households, Reports Say - The Moscow Times
More than one-fifth of Russian households do not have access to indoor plumbing, according to official statistics obtained by the RBC news website on Tuesday.
    https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2019/04/02/indoor-plumbing-still-a-pipe-dream-for-20-of-russian-households-reports-say-a65049
If you read past the headline though, you’ll quickly realize that it is misleading. The author confuses indoor plumbing with centralized sewage:

Of the 22.6 percent of households without a centralized sewage system, 16.8 percent use a system of pipes connected to pit toilets, RBC cited the State Statistics Service, Rosstat, as saying. The other 5.8 percent lack a sewage system altogether.
So, it’s not 22.6% without indoor plumbing, but 22.6% without centralized sewage, and only 5.8% without indoor plumbing.

    There’s more though:

In rural Russia, almost two-thirds have no access to indoor toilets, 48.1 percent of whom use outhouses and 18.4 percent do not have a sewage system.
It doesn’t take a genius to realize that something is wrong here: an outhouse is by definition not connected to sewerage. And indeed, they’re quoting this RBC article and that’s not what it says. Here’s the relevant text in Russian:

    Ð¦ÐµÐ½Ñ‚Ñ€Ð°Ð»Ð¸Ð·Ð¾Ð²Ð°Ð½Ð½Ð°Ñ ÐºÐ°Ð½Ð°Ð»Ð¸Ð·Ð°Ñ†Ð¸Ñ Ð¾Ñ‚ÑутÑтвует у 66,5% роÑÑиÑн, проживающих в ÑельÑкой меÑтноÑти.
    English translation:

66.5% of Russians living in rural areas do not have a centralized sewerage system. This includes 48.1% of rural families using cesspools and 18.4% with no sewerage at all.

Cesspools most certainly fall under “indoor toilet†category and the only difference for the end user is that they need to call a honeywagon from time to time.

Thanks to this mistranslation, 48.1% using cesspools turned into 48.1% using outhouses, 66.5% without centralized sewerage turned into 66.5% without indoor toilets, and then the phrase “in rural Russia†somehow got lost, so we have people unironically thinking that 2/3 of Russians have no indoor toilets. I don’t expect this myth to subside, though: the dumber you are, the less likely are you to admit being wrong, and the average Internet user is only slightly more intelligent than an earwig.

Knowledge and silence go hand in hand

To this day, it's generally accepted that JFK might have been assassinated with the complicity of elements within our own government, and yet as different administrations come and go, the American people never demand that all the files still kept secret, be released. It seems they don't believe they themselves can handle the truth. And so, they don't want to know. In a way, the media and government are simply accommodating and protecting the tender sensibilities of 'the people'.

Like if your parents were murdered for their possessions, and the people who raised you, were the murderers, who took on your parents identity as imposters. As adults, even after the imposters were dead, would you want to know the truth? It seems most people would prefer comfortable ignorance over the truth.

The moment you know a journalist cares about the truth, is the moment he's willing to take on 9/11.

Not even Assange or Snowden were willing to cross that particular Rubicon. And look what it gets them.

Mr. Unz seems to believe that Covid is the lie of the century, but I would suggest that it's 9/11.

Yes, they both killed people, and are still killing people, (presumably, if Covid is what they say it is, as I have no idea what exactly Covid is).

But Covid generally kills the elderly and sickly. And yes, the lockdowns were draconian, and the mandates were a humiliating abuse of power, but the people tolerated it, out of concern for being kept 'safe'.

Whereas 9/11 slaughtered the healthy and young indiscriminately, and has been used to curtail the American people's Constitutional rights. And more to the point, has been used to get untold tens of thousands of young Americans killed or permanently maimed, and more to the point, has caused the mass-murder and maiming and displacement of untold millions of innocent men, women and children - all war crimes, and all a direct and deliberate consequence of 9/11.

Covid may have inadvertently killed millions of people, even if Mr. Unz theory is correct- and it was intended as a targeted bio-weapon against ZOG's enemies. Or, if it's just an accidental bat-turd blowing in the wind, that morphed into a contagious human virus.

Whatever the provenance of Covid, it has generally killed only those at high risk, and it seems was never intended to cause as much global havoc, no matter how its advent. - {Unless it was intended as a global pretext for the vaccine, which at this point looks to be potentially as deadly as the virus, (but I'm not writing this as a vaccine-skeptic post, but rather a theme on people's desire to remain ignorant, and the PTB willingness to accommodate them)}.

But 9/11 was calculated to cause the death of untold millions of men, women and children, by bombs and bullets and assorted deadly weapons, always used against the innocent. And it's still getting people killed, and is intended to get many, many more people killed, and nations destroyed, and rights trampled, before it runs its course.

And, (unlike Covid) we *know* who many of the responsible parties were, vis-a-vis 9/11. We know Larry Silverstien was involved, and the media, and Ehud Barak, and Bibi and Dick Cheney and the Israeli Mossad and FBI and others..

We know all of this, and I'd say it's the most explosive story of the century, with the people responsible for that unspeakable atrocity, still occupying the halls of power.

Three thousand Americans were deliberately slaughtered in horrific fireballs or crushed in buildings wired for a controlled demolition, with as many people still inside as possible.

And this was done, in order to stampede the American people to wage wars on several nations Israel wanted destroyed, who had done us no harm, and were no threat to us in any way.

We all know this. Hersh and Chomsky and Assange and Snowden and China and all the nations of the Middle East, and all the intelligence services of every nation on the planet, all know this. As does every world leader, and every journalist or building professional or layperson who has taken the time to honestly look into it.

It is the global 'Emperor with no clothes', or the purple gorilla, or elephant in the living room, that no one but 'those on the fringes' wants to talk about.

So if Covid turns out to be a U.S. black-op bio-weapon intended to weaken China, (and harm Iran and others) but then 'got away', and killed millions more...

.. and/or if the NordStream was an Eco-terror black-op by the Z.U.S. government...

.. and/or if the war in Ukraine has been planed for decades by the ZUS...

Then how many people in the U.S. or Canada or Europe, even want to know the truth?

If knowing, would mean they'd be forced to come to some certain and uncomfortable conclusions about the world we all live in?

Which would lead them to either demand justice for the dead, and punishment for the criminals...

Or, they could put their heads down, and go back to chewing -bovine, willful ignorance cud- and have to live the rest of their lives, knowing what that says about them.

Perhaps the media is doing them a favor, by treating them like ignorant, stupid children. Unable and unwilling to think anything beyond happy thoughts in the pasture, before they're led to the slaughter. And if so, do they deserve better?

    Replies: @Iris, @Pop Warner

the American people never demand that all the files still kept secret, be released. It seems they don’t believe they themselves can handle the truth.

I can’t speak for every American, but if they’re like me then they assume that no amount of court orders, referenda, or congressional votes will make the government hand over everything on the assassination. Even if the Supreme Court explicitly demanded all unredacted documents pertaining to the case, we’d either get shit we already have or a few unimportant documents. Hm. For signalling we can assume that there were plenty of mirrors. There were perhaps lifejackets in case the plane came down in the sea: I suppose extremely bold people might try to assemble a sledge from them and whoosh down the snowy slopes. Not for me, that.

You don't want (I suppose) things such as flare pistols or firearms aboard in case of accidental discharge. You don't want hydrogen for balloons. Nowadays would some passengers or crew have satellite phones? That would presumably solve the problem of calling for help.

Planes presumably carry oxygen - how? Compressed gas rather than liquid, I'll bet. An oxygen canister could be used to encourage flame in a signal fire: that might be useful at high altitude in the mountains.

You could always specify that some containers of jet fuel be carried in the fuselage in case the crashing plane lost its wing tanks but that's an unlikely policy.

Of course you could always insist that every plane carry an expert of the sort who featured in The Flight of the Phoenix?

Thank you for posting this wonderful old timey movie. I can understand why it was a box office flop because a beautiful woman only appeared in phantom form towards the end of the film, and there is very little violence. Yes, it is a survival film but the subtext is British anxiety about the Anglosphere (or the fading Empire) and the new roles of both victors and vanquished in WW II.
In my life I encountered three men like Moran and Towns who rained death and destruction from flying fortresses on the women and children of Germany, who became filled with self doubt and guilt alcoholics or unemployable head cases in the aftermath of the war.
The film anticipates the British withdrawal from the sea lanes, the problem of oil supply, and the monkey wrench of Islamism/Arabism, yet curiously enough there is no mention of Jews or Zionism in the film. The character Dorfmann represents the new Germany rebuilt on the foundations of the Third Reich which will go on to become an industrial and financial giant.

Many historical instances of one party attacking another to try to get them to sue for peace. Even the US has been the target of it. To take that example: I'm not sure that the demand for an unconditional surrender was the maximization of good, even from the perspective of normal Americans. (And there is a fair case to be made that lack of good communication caused the war).

In the past, I have also pointed out how there have been many successful cases of appeasement. And also how I am not sure that Europeans have benefited from the demonization of historical figures, and in fact there is strong reason to believe that it has harmed their core interests.

Hyperbolic terms like "genocide", "crimes against humanity" seem calculated to try to engineer an unconditional surrender. That is certainly not the minimization of Ukrainian dead (not to mention Russian), and I believe you yourself have acknowledged this in the past, saying that it is a worthwhile trade for land.

I will not try to impugn that settlement, but I think there needs to be some amount of realism about it. What is the goal of Ukrainians? To remove ethnic Russians from Donbass and Crimea? Then it is nearly the exact crime that Putin is accused of with only the most tenuous legal justifications - Soviet borders. (All that is changed is who is the David and who the Goliath). And we all know that Soviets had the most logical administrative borders, don't we? No problems manifested there in other places, right?

What Ze wanted to do with Donbass, Putin wanted to do with some portion of Ukraine. Maybe, we should ask him, what portion? What is the goal of Putin? It has to be something less than what the most extreme claim - that it is a struggle Westward to the Atlantic.

Somewhere, I think Russia's manpower advantage needs to be acknowledged. Do you think that waves of Ukrainians should be sent against a force 3x their numbers (when it is inevitably mobilized), to take back ethnic Russian territory? I do not - I will will flatly say it is unrealistically shortsided, probably, shows gross incompetence of leadership, and I would classify it as mass homicide.

Your historical accounts provide much foundation for and sheds much light on what is going on in the world right now -- on the current heinous acts of evil marshaled for goal of owning entire world assets with a wonton genociding of its people.

It is one continuous stream of evil for announced goal of WEF-NWO.

But how does their saga end years from now?

What historical accounts will the great grandchildren of the planet be writing?

Do the Noodleland- Blinkie- Nitwitandyahoos of the world succeed or fail?

The people of whom you speak don't believe solely that they are "God's chosen people." They believe that they are indeed God and that they (already) rule over the planet and its people.

Indeed, it is hard to believe otherwise in light of the reality that they smack in our face:

They poison us by contaminating our food and water supplies (hazardous chemicals, gmo); they exterminate us by wars and transparent acts of overt murder (Palestine or injections); they eliminate us from earth population by crafting acts of drought, of famine, of floods, of HAARP-created earthquakes.

And they are accountable to no one because they already "own" the institutions of accountability.

But how does their story end? Do they win?

Why are so few of us "useless eater" intended victims trying to puzzle out a solution to our mutual predicament?

Once they institute their programmable cbdc's, it is game over for us -- for all in the West. And their control over the East is not precluded. They ain't gonna go quietly into the night. They gonna harrass and go after RU&CH until they get what they want. And the same kind of thing that just happened on the Turkiye-Syrian border could happen in Shanghai, or in Moscow or in Tehran. No land or people is immune to receiving the same kind of historical attacks of which you write or of which we see unfolding before our very eyes.

Remember Kissinger? "Control oil and you control entire countries. Control food and you control entire populations. Control money and you control the world."

That is where we are right now -- with their last goal of controlling the money of the U SUK countries (US UK NATO & vassal states like Japan and, now, it even looks like Brazil as well).

    How to defeat this agenda?

    Is it even possible?

What kind of world and future are we delivering to the great grandchildren?

This is not about a family or a person making an escape plan for themselves. There is no escape once cbdc goes into effect and UBI is already implemented in an area of California.

This is about people uniting and making a plan to save humanity from the maw of Orwell's nightmare.

The plan, apparently, was to force Russia’s hand by killing thousands of Russians in the Donbas so that Russia would then do the wet work for the Jews and kill off the Ukraine’s best and brightest young men on the battlefield, while the best of the rest fled to Poland and Germany. [They] have pursued a widespread and systemic attack against a civilian population – gruesome acts of murder, torture, rape, and deportation. Execution-style killings, beating and electrocution. Russian authorities have forcibly deported hundreds of thousands of people from Ukraine to Russia, including children. They have cruelly separated children from their families.‒

American Vice President Kamala Devi Harris is in a mental conundrum now for the fact that President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., wants to run for re-election next year and whether he will keep her in his campaign or replaces her with someone else.

However, if President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., dies while in office, Vice President Kamala Devi Harris will not be able to become his successor since American Constitution requires American president a natural born American citizen!

Vice President Kamala Devi Harris is not a natural born American citizen since her both parents were not American citizens when she was born.

In the above hypothetical scenario, if President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., dies while in office due to his advanced age, next American president will be the Speaker of the House Kevin Owen McCarthy who will probably pick the U.S. representative Marjorie Taylor Greene as the vice president.

Both Dore & I wish for you to “laugh” as we charge into the Money Changers, and as with Mighty Mouse, “save the day.”

    The short list:

    1. Humans have differences. Ask Unz & his crowd. They believe the differences are racial. The Money Changing Oligarchs achieved world control, by the end of World War II. Next, they seized a military outpost, and rewrote history. Hell! They invented history, from Hollywood, to mis/education institutions, to the media.

    2. In 1963, the Money Changers executed our last Constitutional President, and his brother. The courageous Kennedy‘s stood in the way. They were eliminated. There was no self-defence, or sign of Americans con cojones in any direction. That is when the remnants of our Republic were obliterated. We are an occupied Nation. A Nation of Slaves, slaves of many ethnicities, SLAVES.

    3. For 3 decades they ran the US Gov’t – from a building in Manhattan (which sports a lobby with a poster of an American President – in a blue dress). *They no longer need the Shadow Government, and shut it down, as it is redundant. They directly control the entire Government, from the Executive, Legislative, Judicial, State, City, and County, and the BANKS.

**Luckily for us, The Oligarchs slipped on a Banana peel. Russia revived (later China).

    4. In 2015, the Russian leaders altered the balance of the world, when they rescued Syria, and blocked the formation of Eretz-Israel, with boundaries from the Euphrates, to the Mississippi. The Russian Oligarchs were rewriting the script.

    5. The schism of world Oligarchs has deepened, and there is a quite large WAR in East Europe. East Europe is where WWs I & II began. The Russians are SHOOTING. They are aiming badly, as they attempt to negotiate (sell this, to attain that). BUT THEY ARE SHOOTING!

    6. Currently, We Americans are not Shooting. We are not even laughing! The laughter of Warriors would be the first step to resistance.

So keep on with your “laugh” my friend. As long as we laugh, we are immortal, and LIBERTY is just around the corner.

Both you and Rotan Bill make some excellent points, but are missing one critical aspect of civilizational collapse, not taking into account the number of firearms in the United States of America and who has control of them.
THIS is why "the powers-that-be" are so hell-bent on "gun control" (confiscation).
THEY plan on doing things to us "masses" things that we will not like and are still able to resist. It is civilian possession of weapons that makes their "intent" difficult.
The cities are a lost cause. Small towns and villages surrounded by rural areas have a better chance, once all of the "deep state" (FBI, ATF, DEA, etc.) "plants" are properly identified and dispatched...
Approximately 110 million Americans hunt and are capable of processing their own "game". This one fact makes hunters a formidable force to be reckoned with. Besides providing protection from "two-legged (government) predators", the ability to feed one's self is not only valuable but essential.
"Hit and run" guerilla tactics will become widespread with quick reaction forces being the norm rather than the exception, as it is now.
Rotan Bill, it's a shame that you did not serve in the military...you could have learned a lot. It's not all about killing. You will have to rely on those of us who did serve for technical and tactical expertise. You might want to lighten up on your disdain for those of who have served. You will probably need us in order to stay alive in the future.
Those of us who did serve did not choose to go to a foreign land and kill indiscriminately. In fact, many of us made the best of a difficult situation and actually "gave back" and helped those "caught in the middle" of the hostilities. From infrastructure projects to hospitals and orphanages and other volunteer help to innocents, these things were and still are never ever mentioned.
Those who claim to have done so ARE mentally ill and potentially dangerous.
You might do well to avoid watching "war movies" most of which are unrealistic and convey messages that are not only untruthful, but border on propaganda themselves. If your perception of war and the military comes from "war movies", it is seriously flawed.
Unit cohesion, being an important part of any operation, military or otherwise is a valuable part of small-unit defense and tactics and in a societal collapse WILL be necessary for survival.
As to Henry Kissinger, he was dead wrong. Those who were drafted had no say or much choice in the matter.
Kissinger should have been "pushing up daisies" a long time ago. It is the adrenochrome treatments that are keeping that old fossil and others alive.
    Now to Vietnam...
There are those who have swallowed the false history-standard loss of Vietnam lies hook line and sinker. Americans and South Vietnamese prevailed in every battle-bar none. In fact, TET 1968 was a decisive victory for the South Vietnamese and American forces-the Viet Cong and much of the North Vietnamese forces were decimated. Of course, the American mainstream media claimed it was a victory for the communists. North Vietnamese General Giap credited the American mainstream media with giving them new resolve.
As to the so-called "anti-war protesters", they only wanted one thing--to save their own skins--nothing more. In fact, when the draft ended, so did the protests.
Even present-day "uber-patriot" Ted Nugent got in on the act, defecating and urinating on himself and not washing for a month before appearing before the draft board--he was sent home. He stated that Vietnam "was not his war"...
The American Vietnam war was not a civil-war but was an INVASION by the communist North Vietnamese, who wanted control of the whole country. The INVASION was allowed to continue when American troops left and South Vietnamese troops were not resupplied.
Those who have watched the Ken Burns’ schlockumentary on Vietnam, in which he built up the North Vietnamese while exacting harsh criticism (lies) on the American and South Vietnamese troops were exposed to Burns' lies and fabrications. Of course, to his credit, Burns let it slip that the re-education camps contrary to communist claims (actually prisons) would be in operation for approximately six months after the war was over, it turns out that many former South Vietnamese were detained for as long as twenty years.
Post-war Vietnam was so wonderful, tens of thousands of boat people risked life and limb to escape that communist paradise [silence].
Ask the Vietnamese who live in Garden Grove and Westminster California what they think...
I don't feel sorry for you, Rotan Bill. You did what you thought was right...no problem with that.
As to my experiences, I would do it over again...

I watched the Vietnam War as a teenage–born in 1960. I watched it every night! Read all I could.

    YES, we won EVERY BATTLE!

We were there because the Communists killed Catholics. When the Viet Cong would enter a village or the city of Hue during Tet–they killed all the Catholics! The commies in Laos did the same to Buddhists and Catholics!

I WANTED TO GO TO VIETNAM–And I still do–I felt sorry for my brethren over there fighting the good fight against Communism. As soon as I turned 18, my parents offered me college–I went into the Marine Corps!

—But we were stabbed in the back by the Democrat Congress and the Marxist Media that gave aid and support to the North Vietnamese Communists! Many academic professors aided the NVA and sabotaged us! I was a member of the Aircraft Carrier Battle Group, USS Coral Sea, and we picked up boat people in the Indo-China Sea. So I was a part of the Vietnam War in an off-kinda-way.

Now, I find out that Communism is here in America…that America is a Marxist country…We are under a Marxist, Jewish, Communist Tyranny here in America—and practically everyone is a Traitor. The US Military has sold us out; it is converged. I wanted so much to go to Vietnam and now at the ripe-old-age of 62–I’ve come to the realization that the Vietnam War has come to me in my own country!

As we used to say in the sixties—“The ONLY Good communist was a dead communist”!

That still holds true! God Bless our Fallen Vietnam soldiers and all Vietnam Veterans!

    Are you serious?

Did you not read the above article by Philip Giraldi?

The obvious example of a rogue 'aggressor nation' is Zio-America, which has been wasting lives and precious resources on behalf of Israel since 1973 (and well before, since America's involvement in both WWI and WWII were unnecessary and preventable.)

Serial, US military interventions in faraway conflicts (against foes of Israel) where US security interests are not at stake most recently include Zio-Washington's proxy war against Russia (on behalf of the Zelensky regime), as well as Zio-Washington's aggressive wars on Iraq, Libya, and Syria. The ongoing economic war against Iran is also covered with Israeli fingerprints. Jews are using Washington to destroy the enemies of Zion. Israel benefits. Americans (and countless others) suffer.

If you state that Walmart, Costco, Home Depot sell mostly Chinese crap that the US consumers do not need to buy, then you are absolutely clueless on how products are designed, manufactured and shipped all over the world.

    1) Just because the label states "Made in China" does not mean it was designed in China. "Made in China" for the most part, means the end product was mass manufactured in China and then shipped around the world, mostly to the USA for mass consumption
    2) But a lot of the stuff you buy at the store are designed by US companies right here in the USA (designed by US companies employing an army of scientists, designers, engineers, marketers, financial analysts, sales analyst, advertisers, etc.).
    3) These products are designed to certain specifications, and priced accordingly so that the US companies can make a huge profit margin. That's how they can stay in business and get richer.
    4) Also, nothing is mass manufactures in the first place. They get a limited production / prototype run and undergo all kinds of mechanical testing standards and then must go to Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, Target, etc. to ask for a limited test run to see if the product actually sells or not. To see if consumers will actually buy it. If it doesn't sell, it doesn't get ordered for mass production.
    5) No stores will do a mass purchase order so anything you see at these stores are goods that the consumers want to purchase. Otherwise, they wouldn't be on the shelve for long and the store would have a fire-sale to get rid of them on the cheap.

This, of course, is an immense psychological shock and affront to Western elites who regard themselves, following the Judaic cult, as God's Chosen, and a superior race and civilization to all others, as one can see as the loathsome corpse maggot Soros turns his Jabba gaze on India, which actually thought that it was an 'honorary' White regime.
The ascendancy of China has sent the Western elites, particularly in the Five Eyes, quite insane with rage and affront. It has been bubbling up in Austfailia since about 2014, and is viscerally and nakedly rooted in race and cultural hatred. The new 'Labor' regime has set out to be at least as belligerent as the previous psychopaths, because loyalty to the Five Eyes 'Gods Upon the Earth' is non-negotiable. Americans are mostly European outcasts and down trodden of Europe which was why the British monarchy allowed them to migrate to their numerous colonies (Canada / USA / New Zealand / Australia). America have always been ruled by the oligarchs. It was wealthy British transplants that started the Revolutionary War because in the colonies, they got richer and wealthier and wanted the money / taxation to stay in the colonies as opposed to being siphoned back to London, which was why they rebelled. The rest of the outcast settlers joined the local oligarchs in the war against the old oligarchs back in London.

As for your comment about not seeing any American running to China in a shipping crate. What for? So they can compete for low end, low paying jobs against the backdrop of 700 million poor rural Chinese trying to get the same low end, low paying, physically demanding jobs?

And no one immigrates to America for freedom and democracy. No one. People migrate mostly for economic reasons. So the Chinese trying to get into the US in shipping crates are the low, down trodden, Chinese outcasts. Wealthy Chinese don't need to do that. Wealthy Chinese simply buy up real estate in the US and send their children to expensive US colleges at full premium price.

Just so. Yet there's more, I think.

Sixty years ago, in the introduction to The Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby, the book that made him a star, Tom Wolfe wrote that US newspapers had become less important for the information they conveyed than for how they melded with the purchaser's self-image. In other words, the newspaper had largely become totemic. A 1960s New Yorker, for instance, cared less about the quite remarkably different range of information offered by the Times and the Daily News than he did about what carrying the one or the other said about him, his place in society, and his worldview.

Sachs, who is now 68, ought to be embarrassed by the bathos of his admission (as reported by Ron Unz). Why is it that Mr Hersh can get the UNSC to do something that Russia, with the implicit support at least of China and much of the rest of the world, cannot?

It wasn’t Hersh who “got the UNSC to do something“; Russia took advantage of the widespread public awareness of Hersh’s revelations, to effectively force the UN to convene a meeting or the UNSC.

The UNSC senior bureaucrats have a serious and ongoing reputational problem: pretty much everybody is now aware that Colin Powell’s Feb 5 2003 cartoon presentation to the UNSC was entirely fabricated.

Russia has been trying to get the UNSC convened to discuss the evidence that it has amassed from US-operated bioweapons labs in Eastern Ukraine, since the earliest days of the Special Military Operation.

They have been totally ignored to date: if it was 2003 they would only have required a careerist bureaucrat to hold up a vial of icing sugar.

Just kidding: if a Russian had made such a ridiculous low-effort presentation – say, about Chechnya – it would have been mocked by the Western press, as opposed to the rousing chorus of acclamations that Powell received.

People forget how quickly the Russians over-ran government offices in Eastern Ukraine in early-to-mid 2022. It yielded material that is at least the equivalent of what the Iranian revolutionaries obtained from the CIA in the aftermath of 1979.

The Iranian Revolution happened very quickly, and the organisers had people ‘on the ground’ in very close proximity to the CIA station – precisely to prevent the occupants from destroying evidence when they abandoned the place.

Very few people are aware of the repository Documents from the U.S. Espionage Den; everyone at Wikileaks knew about it. Even Daniel Domscheit-Berg – a.k.a. Danny Dumb-Shitbird – who was suspected of being a glowie within days of becoming a ‘volunteer’.

Aanyway… the UNSC had to give Russia it’s time in the sun, which is why they also immediately scheduled a session for Ukraine to make a Powell-esque presentation – which included a request by the Ukie FM Kaleba that everybody all stand for a moment of silence for the Ukrainian victims of Russian aggression… at which point Nebenzya (the Russian Permanent Respresentative to the UN) said that Russia were standing for all victims in the Ukraine, starting from 2014.

Kuleba was such an absolute fuckwit for trying that Karen-style virtue-signal. It was amateur theatrics at is most imbecilic, and he got absolutely REKT by Nebenzya.

And like a bunch of well-trained lap-dogs, everyone[1] on the UNSC stayed seated thereafter… until Blinken signalled they could stand.

It was painful to watch, and Western TV audiences got a very truncated version of events that cut off before everyone stood.

    [1] Except the Russian delegation.

Many of us are not defending Russia so much as failing to see anything preferable in the Ukraine.

I prefer Ukrainians that haven't been blown into pieces. Is that not enough? I don't see why you cheer the angry dwarf and his war for a chunk of Ukraine. You do acknowledge that he can't take Kiev so what is the point of the war? Kill 200k men on both sides.... for what? Ukraine will join NATO and become permanently pro-Western. What would you tell a Russian woman who lost her husband? He had to die so......???

How about if just about every time you found an article openly cheering for war, it was written by a Jew?

Just about every time I read about Bakhmut there is in fact a Jew in the article.

Any thoughts on Putin's private Jewish war commander Yevgeny Prigozhin?

Do you appreciate that he was able to secure a win for Putin by taking Soldear? Are you hoping he takes Bakhmut for Putin? Are you cheering a Jew to take land in what you seem to think is war against the Jews?

Or do you just pretend he doesn't exist? Just like Putin's Jewish propagandist who recently was exposed as having a male model son in London who posed in women's clothing? Any thoughts on that?

Would Russia be the Jewish side if Zelensky wasn't Jewish? Putin has two Jews that are close to him and one is in charge of the main front. Putin also has a long list of Jewish oligarchs that are his pals. Why is Ukraine the Jewish side?

Those were mostly assimilated long ago. You may regard it as a tragic loss to the Polish nation (maybe even with good reason), but you can’t claim that they still exist as an identifiable national minority today.

If you gave them a chance to be a Polish minority, I assure, some of them would claim it.

Besides, the same with Germans in Poland. I have never heard about them before 1991. Most of them left for Germany long time ago, or live partly or mostly in Germany. Opole Voivodship has very high rates of depopulation.
Those who still are in Poland are assimilated and speak Polish too. They keep their German identity to show off for political reason.

You are a typical arrogant Germany, judging others but not giving them the right to judge you.

I’m not sure what’s that supposed to mean.
And sure, long-term the minority is probably going to dwindle away, probably inevitable. Still, absolutely dickish move by PiS to use the issue like that. imo that kind of attitude just precludes any genuine cooperation.
Anyway, I’ve spent more time on this discussion than I wanted. And I guess I was unnecessarily rude towards you. I probably should be cautious about deriving excessive enjoyment from insulting other commenters. Still think though that you make lots of very questionable assertions.

Since the only German thing they can do is learning German, they show off their German study whenever necessary for Germany. They are essentially subsidized learners of German, not even noticing how ridiculous this makes them as a minority - after all, the knowledge of German language they should acquire in home.

" imo that kind of attitude just precludes any genuine cooperation."

This is projecting. Germany started this war by not fulfilling the 1991 treaty. Germany can end it.
