マフィアとしての紹介動画を見ると虚勢を張りすぎていて哀れになる。
一例として「マーケティングの神様コトラー主催のコトラーアワードで選ばれた日本人3人のうちの一人」という文句を打ち出している。
これだけ見ると「全世界からコトラーが優れたマーケターを選び、その内日本人が3人、そのうちのひとり」のような印象を受ける。この打ち出しは、かなりの偉業のように思えるが、彼のXのBioなどにはこの件の記載はない。
調べてみると、かなり悪質な誇張を含んでいる。実態は、「コトラー名を冠した各国で個別に行われているアワードがあり / 日本ではNewspicksが開催、2018,2019に開催しその後は開催なし / 日本の開催において毎年3人の審査員による審査（当然3人とも日本人）を行う / その2018年の審査員のひとり」というだけである。
まともな感性のビジネスマンであれば、審査員として参加しただけの日本のローカル主催のアワードについて、上記のような書き方をするだろうか？
前述の通り、菅原氏ご自身の虚勢の張り方には哀れみを禁じ得ない。が、おそらくReal Valueマフィア自体が虚勢とイキリを用いた、中途半端なビジネスヤンキーたちの暗い羨望を現金化する半詐欺モデルなので、その中にあって菅原氏もマフィアの一員としてそれなりの箔のありそうな看板をひねり出す必要があったのだろう。
それ以外に、「3年で年商数百億規模の会社に成長させた」などもスタートアップ界隈の内情を知る身からすると、かなり無理のある言い方であるが、
いずれにせよ、Real Valueが情弱たちをニセの羨望で搾り取るために、マフィアも嘘ギリギリ高めいっぱいのイキリ要素を提示する必要があり、エコシステム全体を虚栄で塗り固めて転がり続ける、そんなシステムをこれだけの規模で作った溝口にはある意味で感嘆するものの、毎回同じ芸風であるし、そんな生き方しかできない溝口氏、マフィア笑の各氏、リアルバリューの観覧者のみなさまには滑稽を通り越してシュルレアリズムにも似たグロテスクさを見せて頂き、苦笑するしかない。

でもさぁ、おいらが会ったこの言葉を使うエンジニアって、全員が全員、技術力は低いし世界観は狭いし知識ベースは古い。けど自己評価だけは火星のオリンポス山より高い、って人だったんだよね。
「勉強熱心」で「意識高く」て、Netflixの採用ページの話題をWebページで浅く読んで「これだ！」ってなったんだろうけど。
問題は「それがブリリアントジャークなのか？」という評価が、無知、知識不足からくるただの思い込みに過ぎないにも関わらず、確固とした絶対的な評価だと思い込んでることなんだよね。
「チームをかき乱す」
ってだけで、「ブリリアントジャーク」ってレッテル貼って、「俺が正義！」とか言うてんのよ。
でも、この2点だけでその判定は無理なんよね。
「技術的に正当であっても、許されねぇ！」みたいにもっともらしく言うのもいるけど、そのチームでのやり方が「圧倒的技術的失当」だったらお話にならんのよね。
そのせいで事業成長の可能性を潰してるところ、たくさんあるし。
そりゃね、経営判断がーってのもわかるんよ。
でもさ、その判断の元になる情報がこの手の「ブリリアントジャークガー」な輩なわけでさ、そもそも正しい経営判断が下せてるか？ って問題があるんよ。
ちゃんと説明した結果、判断が覆るなんてこと、珍しくないからねぇ。

結果、ダメの上のダメを積み上げていって、エンジニアリングの大半がドキュメント書きと打ち合わせと副業、みたいな開発チームが企業価値をこれっぽっちも上げないまま仕事してるふりして、札束を燃え上がらせてる。
もしお前がこちらを「ブリリアントジャーク」とか決めつけるなら、お前はただひたすら「No-value Jerk」なんよ。
