Purity Ring - "bodyache"


R&Bやヒップホップをベースにしたビートとダブステップ～チルウェイヴ以降を感じさせるシンセ音をミックスしたサウンド、そしてキュートな女性ボーカルにより人気を博したデュオのセカンド。数曲を聴く限り、前作と比べサウンド的に大きく変化しているわけでもないのに、確実に前作を超えてきそうです。ソングライティングが飛躍的に向上し、音色もボーカルも色鮮やかになった印象があります。


The Go! Team - "Blowtorch"


前作リリース後のツアーで解散を匂わせる発言をし、ファンをヤキモキさせていたThe Go! Team待望の4作目。チアフルなハイパーポップぶりは健在。


Only Real - "Can't Get Happy"


当ブログの「SOUND OF 2015」でも取り上げたロンドン出身のSSW。脱力サイケなサウンドにゆるゆるなラップ&ボーカルが魅力です。


The Prodigy - "Wild Frontier"


90年代初頭からダンスミュージック・シーンを牽引し、ロックとテクノのクロスオーバー云々…そんな説明はもはや不要。6年ぶりの新作は攻撃性をさらに増大させたパンキッシュな作品に仕上がっている様子。

カナダの大所帯ポスト・ロック・グループ。再結成後の2作目。今回も全4曲、荘厳な長尺ノイズ絵巻を展開してくれることはず。


Soko - "Who Wears The Pants??"


フランス出身の女優兼SSW。セカンドとなる今作ではソリッドなロックンロール曲を中心に、シンセも多用したバラエティ豊かな内容になっているようです。
