前作『Hardcourage』も素晴らしかった、トラックメイカーDrew Lustmanによるプロジェクト。繊細さと知性と肉体性を兼ね備えた、チルもダンスも可能なビート・ミュージック。


FKA Twigs - "Pendulum"

「かつてTwigsとして知られていた(＝Formally Known As Twigs)」Tahliah Barnettによるソロ・プロジェクトのデビューアルバム。プロデュースはPaul Epworth、Arca、Dev Hynesと強力布陣で、すでに各メディアから高い評価を得ています。


Kimbra - "Miracle"

Gotye「Somebody That I Used To Know」のフィーチャリングでおなじみ、ニュージーランドの女性SSW。オーソドックスなのにエキセントリックなサウンドは聴けば聴くほどクセになります。この曲や、すでに公開されている「90s Music」という曲名からして全体的に90年代のフィーリングに満ちた作風に仕上がっているんでしょうか。


The Wytches - "Wire Frame Mattress "

英ブライトンのガレージ・サイケ3人組。この乱暴で粗野な感じの音と痙攣&絶叫気味のボーカルが醸し出すイーヴルな感じはヤバイです。当ブログでもPUBLIC IMAGE REPUBLIC presents SOUND OF 2014にて選出されていました。


The Rentals - "1000 Seasons'"

元Weezer、マット・シャープによるThe Rentalsの、なんと15年振りのサード・アルバム！彼らの最大の魅力であり、また彼ら以降定番となった「ラウドなパワーポップ＋モーグ・シンセ」の組み合わせは健在。しかもこれまで以上にメロディに磨きがかかっている予感。ドラムにはBlack KeysのPatrick Carneyが参加。


Rustie - "Raptor"

グラスゴーのビートメイカー、Rustieのセカンド・フルアルバム。まだこの曲しか聴けていないですが、これを聴くだけでもワクワクします。シンセ音がピュンピュンと飛び交う奇天烈でハイ・エネジーなサウンドが非常にかっこいいです。
