There are, fortunately, still brilliant black jazz musicians. Not everyone likes or appreciates what they do, but we would be culturally poorer without them. In this realm they are successful as a race. I suppose you have to say the same about their abilities in sports, which don’t much interest me but many fellow whites are over the moon about their demonstrations of athletic prowess.

Would it be possible to stop expecting blacks to be equal to whites in everything but encourage them to thrive in areas they have natural talent for? And show them the respect they deserve for making the most of those abilities? Would that be acceptable to blacks, maybe even give them a feeling of relief at not having to compete where they’re at a disadvantage?

It was the government that actually killed King. And don’t forget about Vietnam! King had turned against it before his ‘untimely’ death. But up until then, as long as he was pushing the anti-White agenda, he was useful to them.

To keep this comment on-topic, I will now suggest that my “point if no return� expansion also applies to interpretations of specific historical events and people. An example is that the enshrinement of MLK has been permanently accepted; it passed a point of no return.

This is not to imply that the Ron Unz series of essays explaining the falsity of established historical narratives is a waste of time and effort. A small slice of people are open-minded, and, upon reading such an essay, will revise their view of the established belief. The existence of this slice makes the essay well worthwhile.

The name “civil rights” is a euphemism. Don’t use that name. Just give it a neutral, descriptive term like the “anti-segregation movement” or the “anti-discrimination movement.”

America was founded by colonists who formed voluntary, spontaneous communities. A Massachusetts town had the right to expel any person it deemed harmful. The anti-discrimination movement takes the radical premise that society is not defined by voluntary association but by an all-powerful federal government.

Anti-discrimination, taken to its logical extreme, would mean no right for anybody to prefer anything over anything else. This is clearly absurd. In practice of course it means that White heterosexuals have no right to their own society.
