Indeed.
Just the other day I was talking with someone whom I’d met for the first time at a coffee house. Initially we were discussing bicycling. Then he launched into politics. And for him that meant Trump–whom he detested.
As you say, he just assumed that I agreed with him as he rhapsodized about the coming new world which we were all to “Imagine” as he literally–I’m not making this up–quoted John Lennon’s song, a world without borders with nothing to live or die for or some such twaddle.
He was one hundred percent on board with open borders, taking in any and all, sharing our wealth with all the wretched refuse of the world and literally–again, I’m not making this up–his eyes rolled skyward as he swooned in religious ecstasy at the prospect of one mankind.
He told me that he had attended a convention where the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and some South African (probably a former terrorist) leader were guest speakers and of how honored he was to have been allowed to share a room with the men responsible for bringing down Apartheid in SA through passive resistance and of how, when he was standing nest to Gandhi’s grandson at a urinal in the men’s room, he couldn’t refrain from gushing to him his awestruckness at the latter’s unbelievableness and nobility. White men, he assured me, were a stain on humanity and the source of much of the world’s problems.
My realization that this was, for him, a religious experience, depressed me. For it meant that there would no dealing rationally with him and his type. Number crunching would be futile. I bit my tongue, tempted as I was to stand up and tell him why he was an idiot, that whites had in fact been responsible for the rise in standards of living of people around the world and of the increase in life expectancy from 35 to 78 for many or most of the world’s population.
I figured that I’d escape sooner if I just nodded and went along with him, so with a quick “You’ve given me much to think about” (though not in the sense that he meant), I skedaddled.
These people have been “Moonied” and need radical intervention and deprogramming.
My only tremor of non-relaxation was the result of my having opined confidently on UR that Andrea Ostrov Letania was female and possibly being wrong! Actually I rather liked the idea that The Priss Factory was sn eccentric feisty female.
Relax. I was making all that up. I was trying to make a little fun about your preoccupation with whether “The Priss Factory” aka “Dominique Francon” was a man or a woman. Whether “Dominique” is a man or a woman matters not at all to me, since I have no intention of dating him/her.
Amusant. I can think of a couple of deliberately obfuscating non-identifiers I have tossed in that might have misled you but I wonder what made you form your incorrect impression. Happily, though not a notably hairy mesomorph posing as a Turko-Bulgarian weightlifter, I am so uncomplicatedly heterosexual that I don’t even have a bad reaction to queers touching me (not that I think I have ever been pretty enough – or mach enough for one to make a pass; indeed one look at me when I accidentally fronted up at a gay night club and the immediate reaction at the door was that I wasn’t one of them). Ah, but don’t all those pretty lesbians make you sad. Can’t they even be bi – like the gorgeous Kalinda Sharma in The Good Wife?
I have no idea. I have always assumed you were a woman—not only a woman but a lesbian–and even worse, an Aussie lesbian. As for “dotkin,” I had no idea what the word meant when I posted that reply to you, but, when I later checked out the link as I was reading “Dominique’s” original message to a friend (a female Jewish woman I have known for nearly 20 years, trying to gauge her reaction), I burst out laughing. “Dominique” seems to think he is living in the Elizabethan Age when writers like one William Shakespeare were busy making up new words when it suited their fancy. I have to concede that “dotkin” is pretty funny, but I don’t think it will gain a spot in our dictionaries since it appears to be a little un-PC. Unless Donald Trump is elected President and persuades Congress to outlaw PC, I don’t think “dotkin” has a chance of surviving in our present PC environment. The world’s loss as far as I am concerned.
The other reply, from “The Dominique Francon Society”, pointed to its being a reference to Indian gurus or just Indians. BTW I had assumed that Andrea Ostrov Letania was female when I originally discovered that name behind “The Priss Factory” but, since Andrea can be an Italian male name and my online investigations don’t provide an answer I just don’t know. Do you?
A real disagreement conservatives like Levin have is the free trade vs protectionism arguments. Of course those like Levin continuously reference Smoot-Hawley without any context or any even oblique reference to those who disagree with the analysis that tariffs led ineluctably and immediately to the great depression, essentially winning the argument without an opponent, so screw them.
“The most dishonest movie since SOCIAL NETWORK, an apologia for Jewish greed.”
Well, I saw the very entertaining “Wolf of Wall Street,” directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo di Caprio, in which the main character was named Jordan Belfort and his company was named Stratton Oakmont. I knew nothing about the story before seeing the movie. Out of curiosity, I decided to research the story and was totally surprised to find that Jordan Belfort was Jewish. Thanks for the funny review. I guess I will have to pass on the movie.
““dotkinâ€?

Well, M-W obviously has very good software with a terrific algorithm in place that recognized you as a “dotkin,” and thus likely to be an exploitable doofus, ripe for the picking.
Perhaps you should have consulted a dictionary when you composed the original title of this post (see URL), your initial spelling error rather took the force out of your post.
Ah yes, I finally got it.
Every time I heard Trump talk, I thought he reminds me of someone…
and it is William Friedkin.
From a non-American point of view I can’t agree with your opposition to globalism, but I can make a couple of relevant observations from long experience without taxing you with being a poor representative of a Christian nation which once sent missionaries to China to improve their spiritual lives and now should be pleased to value 400 million Chinese raised from poverty over 100 million Americans who are merely no richer than they were 25 years ago.
One is that the problem is the rate of change. Even an 85 IQ factory worker of 30 can be reasonably expected to learn to do something else for a wage especially if he is given some paternalistic guidance and isn’t anchored by a mortgage debt he can’t escape. But an IQ 105 modestly skilled worker of 50 whose job is abolished is at best going to find employment at lower wages.
The second point goes with the first and it is that governments have to act swiftly when the ideas about what is needed and the political opportunity (and maybe financial backing) come together. You can’t do just a little bit of the reforms and not expect to set off a reaction amongst forces that are still quite strong and may build up sufficiently to stifle the full reform program. Clearly those Americans who advised Yeltsin and co in the 90s told him that there was no alternative to going for broke without nuance. They had obviously observed something relevant in the way American politics works.
I think I’m with you on your last line but your implied damnation of the Fed I would answer with two separate points.
First is the total failure of Administration and Congress – in other words the government – to use fiscal measures to boost the economy – principally by well judged infrastructure expenditure – leaving the Fed to do what it could with interest rates and printing money to allow it to buy bonds.
Second is the fact that the Fed, unlike the Bank of England and Reserve Bank of Australia for example, has a remit both to control inflation (like all or most central banks) and to boost employment. So of course the Fed, in the absence of a credible fiscal answer to recession and low growth rate is conducting desperate QE operations and keeping interest rates at damagingly low levels (damaging anyway when sustained as they have been).
Congratulations! Your [?] neologism is a nicely judged put down of all those phony gurus and their foolish acolytes.
And less amiably extendable to other targets as I assume that the GS person doesn’t wear a dot. Or does he?
The Two PC’s
Pop Culture. It offers Immediate Gratification. It demands mindless surrender to hedonism and animal drives. Music Industry is a Cultural Meth Lab.
Political Correctness. It offers Immediate Sanctification(or Validation). If you’re Jewish, Homo, or Black, you are so good, wonderful, and only need to pat yourself on the back.
The Right should adopt the concept of Safe Space.
The right of Safe Space from black thuggery since blacks are physically stronger.
The right of Safe Space from massive invasion since invaders are racially and culturally different and will change the culture and cause all sorts of problems.
The right of Safe Space from globalist economic policy that devastates entire communities in order to make the 1% ever richer.
In the early 1960s, dictionaries stopped being prescriptive and started being descriptive. The editors of dictionaries were prescriptive because they had a dominant, accepted culture to “prescribe” to the culture at large. It’s almost difficult for us to imagine that there once was a generally accepted right and wrong, not only in matters of morality, but also in the way we speak. There was good grammar, not ebonics; a standard, not standards.
In the 1960s, at least the late-1960s, everything normal and acceptable was challenged — by a small minority of the population who didn’t fit and weren’t accepted by the majority.
Now, it seems that dictionaries have come full circle, prescribing once again, rather than describing. Now dictionary editors prescribe from their own little echo chamber, oblivious that other opinions and worldviews exist. They prescribe their leftist ideology. They prescribe their leftist worldview. They are as oblivious to the majority as the editors of the 1950s were oblivious of the minority.
Fools.
He isn't the last hope for Western Civilization. Oh, gawd, at least, I hope not. Have you heard Trump and Cruz going back and forth about their wives for the last 24 hours???Jeez, Trump is brilliant in some ways, and has brought some important issues front and center, but he has to get over this idea that he can do no wrong and that his every stupid statement will be ignored by his supporters. Being abrasive by telling the truth about Islam and immigration is one thing, but getting petty about meaningless shit is going to get old at some point, and I predict that point will be when the primaries are over and he goes head to head with the Democratic candidate. C'mon, Donald...I WANT to be an enthusiastic supporter of yours. If your going to lose to that criminal Hillary, DON'T let it be because of your juvenile outbursts. Too many people are counting on you.Replies: @unpc downunder

Personally, I don’t like a lot of Trump’s dirty tactics, but they have worked for him so far, so I’m not going to be too critical.
The main problem for Trump is that Hillary has already effectively seen off the challenge from Bernie, but he is still locked in a ongoing slogging match with Cruz, who is winning just enough support to stay in in the race and keep the money flowing from his donors. This means Hillary can focus on attacking Trump, but Trump can’t focus on attacking Hillary. Another problem is that Cruz is copying Trump’s policies so it’s hard for Trump to attack Cruz on policy issues – hence the use of dirty tactics to try and undermine Cruz’s character.
No, it’s about a RHYMING dictionary :).
Hey, I’m not defending the Kosher Mobster named Chump, eh, I mean….. “Trump”. But PLEASE learn how to spell “versus” or use the abbreviations, vs. or v., if you want anyone to read your opinion piece(s) and take you seriously.
And thus lost me at the headline.
“Did you know? Mar 14, 2016 Trump Relied on Funding from George Soros to Build Chicago Trump Tower”
Don’t be a fool – Trump is from the BIG Money Party.
He says nothing about the Federal Reserve, the too big to fail banks, or the criminal home price bubble.
His tax tariffs are going to fall on the middle class and poor.
If acted upon, his foreign policy hard line will bring more war. One way or another we will be more hated around the world.
He is incapable of letting a personal slight pass him by – what will he do when he has the might of the US government to back him up?
He continues to cheapened American rhetoric.
“Me Too†Cruz is not much better.
Kasich beats Hillary – go for it!
I’m waiting for Trump to stop playing paddycake with the cheap seats and mount a serious campaign against Hillary. Can he? Let’s hope so, because if he can’t or won’t then we have a choice between another neocon warmonger and a tv reality star playing a fake fascist, and it’ll be–Fall back to the 500 yard line and police up the brass!
Did you know? Mar 14, 2016 Trump Relied on Funding from George Soros to Build Chicago Trump Tower
In 2004, progressive-leaning philanthropist and investor George Soros provided millions in financing for Donald Trump’s Trump Tower Chicago development.

Democrats Lynching Killing Black & White ‘Radical Republicans’
The Klu Klux Klan was founded as a Democrat proxy group. Many black Americans served in the U.S. Goverment in the 1800’s and beyond as part of the “Radical Republican” party. In 1912 the ‘Progressive’ Democrat, President Woodrow Wilson instituted racial segregation into the Federal Government. Many blacks were subsequently pushed out of the Federal Government.

There’s just one thing I miss about the “old” media: editing by people acquainted with the English language. Don’t misunderstand, I wouldn’t go back. I love the absence of gatekeepers. But an editor, every now and then, could make the reading experience so much more pleasant.
“dotkin”?

It’s over for Cruz, who comes back to the race to battle the Trumpening now? The Cruz “missile” has been busy with many women, hence, scratch Cruz. Who comes back to the race, Marco? Why not, he only “suspended” his campaign..
Anyone here see THE BIG SHORT? What a crock of shi*.
This pretends to be an anti-Wall-Street movie but is really a Jewish Conscience propaganda.
Notice that Baum’s Jewishness is explicitly mentioned BUT the Jewishness of many Wall Street crooks are NOT mentioned. So, we get the impression of Jewish CONSCIENCE against culture of greed.
Never mind Baum is just another financial player. The ending sort of admits to this but shows him sooooooooo agonized about making a huge amount of profit. Oh boo hoo hoo. Gosh, it sure hurts to make $200 million dollars!! His conscience, boo hoo.
And guess who is used as the face of Goldman Sachs? A dotkin boy.
And there is also a black ho as the face of Morgan Stanley.
And there is some yellow fellow as the face of CDO fraud.
You’d think the financial crisis was brought upon by dotkins, negresses, and chiners.
Against them is Baum the Jewish Conscience Man who is sooooooooooo OUTRAGED by all the corruption, all the while sniffing around to rake in millions. I mean gimme a break.
This is a sly disgusting movie. It pretends to tell us something about the rottenness of America, but who hasn’t heard of the financial meltdown since 2008?
The real agenda of this movie is to give the false impression that Jews are the main moral conscience against the culture of greed.
The most dishonest movie since SOCIAL NETWORK, an apologia for Jewish greed.

Well the MSM seems to have moved on from attacking Trump for being like Hitler or Mussolini to being like George Wallace. Trump is kind of like Wallace in the sense that he is a populist who appeal to working class voters and has an aggressive campaign style, but it’s still a pretty poor comparision. Wallace after all, was a southern segregationist and religious conservative, while Trump is a secular New Yorker who hasn’t set anything about segregation or religious issues like abortion or teaching sex education and evolution in schools.
Another term that really annoys me is when MSM pundits say US politics is getting “more extreme.” What do they mean by “extreme?” By defininition, popular, outsider politicians like Trump are likely to be centrists on many issues since they have to appeal to both working and middle class voters. Cruz and Sanders are arguably the most “extreme” candidates, since they intense pockets of support but only appeal to a particular part of the electorate, while Hillary is the most minipulative candidate as she knows how to bribe particular groups (such as Blacks) while implementary policies (such as increased immigration) that go against their interests.
“In this vein, “Trend Watch†highlights the word “Disavowâ€, giving the editors a chance to rehash the disturbing coordinated media attempt to associate Trump with the KKK by way of David Duke (who incidentally is not in the KKK). ”
According to Wikipedia, “Duke told The Daily Telegraph he left the Klan in 1980 because he disliked its associations with violence and could not stop the members of other Klan chapters from doing “stupid or violent things.” ” Let’s see. 1980 was 36 years ago. There was a recent article about Hillary Clinton’s friendship with the late Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia, who had joined the KKK to advance his political career. He also renounced the KKK in 1946 but continued to take stands as a Senator against the blacks: “In 1946, Byrd ran for a seat in the state House of Delegates, campaigning, according to the almanac, “in every hollow in the county, playing his fiddle and even going to the length of joining the Ku Klux Klan.” He quickly renounced his membership but it would be years before he renounced segregationist politics — in 1967 he voted against confirmation of the Supreme Court’s first black justice, Thurgood Marshall.” That was 55 years before Hillary joined the Senate in 2001 so I guess enough time had passed for the taint to have passed. So I guess the test is somewhere more than 36 years and less than 55 for disavowal to work its magic.

one might redefine education since the 1980s as mandatory “reeducation camps†for the masses.
If we were talking about remedial education for adults that would be true, but this is all new for the kids. For that reason I think it is more appropriate to think of public schools as indoctrination camps rather than academic institutions.
In this regard, the thematic unit is another means of a putsch, an effort to hound traditionally minded teachers out of the profession and to alienate students of Western lineage from their own culture. Look around: Have they not wildly succeeded? We are sifting through the ashes of a scorched earth kulturkampf.
Something that bugs me in the so-called Theory is the tendency to invalidate other economic, political, religious, philosophical, or scientific discourses as manifestations of oppressive ideology. Of course, a number of issues in our western society deserve criticism, but this ‘debunking’ agenda underlies many debates in the context of literature classes, reducing the text to an instrumental role for an indictment of the white male, the capitalist system, or whoever might fit the part of oppressor.
This contestation of existing discourses often implies a utopian standpoint, which is perhaps one of the reasons why it is so pervasive in the humanities and social sciences. For lack of real-world examples of successful post-capitalist, post-national, or other such alternative societal arrangements, many critics are in an asymmetric position in relation to the object of their criticism, since their own claims cannot be subjected to the same scrutiny. Thus, the literature class becomes a site for denunciation of all the woes of western culture, while erasing much of what is great about the literary text and the culture in which it was created.
True. I suspect that social studies has become a kind of year long unit on civil rights, with various groups vying for the spotlight of victimhood. The main theme is that the West represents treacherous villains. If you have adopted this disposition, you have “learned.”
“Thematic unit” isn’t just English class, it’s whole departments. There are disciplines, and there are “studies”.
I remember being surprised by Albert J. Nock’s “Memoirs of a Superfluous Man,” in which he talked about schools in the olden days not bothering to teach English. Not reading, mind you, but grammar, literature, and the like. He was confused by the very idea: having to be taught your own language. What need is there to teach you a novel if you can read it yourself? Either way, in fact, you have to read it yourself.
I wasn’t surprised for long, as he was right. It is highly peculiar. You can teach yourself Latin, for instance, or math, but they’re tricky. You don’t need a teacher to teach you English if you already know it. We all want a literate citizenry, and blah, blah, blah, which is to practice reading as well as having the ability to read. But are all the hours we spend teaching English worth it on that account? Is it worth it to force people to do what they’re perfectly capable of doing on their own? And is that what education is about?
Next time Mr Unwell please start not with multiple blasts of wind but something concrete to grab the attention and the critical mind. It is very self indulgent to act as if you are just preaching to a very zealous choir. I think it is absurd to be giving a college education to more than about 25 per cent of 18-22 year olds at most but your rhetoric lost me early.
” Everything that liberals, marxists, feminists, and queer theorists have deconstructed over the years was there to be deconstructed precisely because it was real.”
Of course, conservative matrix.
Human populations have presented a variety of cultural behaviors and thus what is defined as real by the collective does not make it real in all human cultural environments.
An important part of the leftist criticisms are correct. The biggest problem is not the leftist liberalism per se but the leftists who do not neurons enough to understand it (and its psychopathic ”elite”). And the same applies to any other ideology, nationalism white, capitalism even the official religions.
Take any abstraction to a fool and he will do a nightmare.
”Not onomatopoeia, but mental image.”
Seems reductive, why not onomatopoeia too??
”Sorta like Kierkegaard, but with sizzle and a cow.”
Where cow word come from? where all words come from? Where the word ”cow” can express visually or biologically these nonhuman animal?
Criticism without explanation is just personal opinion.
”analytic proposition can always be proved but never verified.”
How something can be proved without previous verification? Analysis is integral part of verification process.
”Like (real) conservatives, who confront and respond to reality”
Define real conversatives.
” E pluribus unum vs ex uno plures.”
hocus pocus.
And people wonder why I always reacted angrily to even the slightest suggestion that I pursue a teaching career.
The vast majority of people cannot benefit from higher education, have no use for higher education, and do not understand what it means to be educated in the traditional sense. Nevertheless, the relentless cultural and parental pressure to shove everybody into school (supposedly to ensure their “success”) and their willingness to pay good money for the same, necessitates a legion of sub-par teachers to babysit the putative pupils and provide that they turn out with some semblance of instruction. The result is the unknowledgeable instructing the uneducable; or as another Man put it, the blind leading the blind.
Leftist cliches proliferate like viruses in such an environment. These simplified prog-nuggets, requiring a bare minimum of thinking to apprehend, are believable enough to mediocre intellects because they contain a germ of truth–they advert to a power structure which really does exist. Everything that liberals, marxists, feminists, and queer theorists have deconstructed over the years was there to be deconstructed precisely because it was real. The European hetero-normative patriarchal male presented them with such a solid target due to his inarguable success in the world of facts and reality; due to his oneness with that world. In the alternative world of criticism (which bears the same relation to the fact world as stand-up comedy bears to politics), this valuation received precisely the opposite sign, and was forthwith attacked with a flurry of academic papers purporting to discredit it. Not only does this give the Social Justice Warriors an inner feeling of righteousness, it allows them to think of themselves as “intellectual” as well.
But nothing is stupider than this critical cosmopolitan intellect. Nothing is more arrogant than the sneering pride which takes in just enough of physical and metaphysical reality so as to ridicule it for its unfairness. This community of deluded mental cripples is what we nowadays call a “school.” The madness will not end until the modern fetish for universal compulsory education is finally broken.
If we had a Pope, we could perhaps appeal to him for the suppression of the schools. Unfortunately, the current papal pretender calling himself Francis is one of their ilk.
The department head volunteered that she, in order to give students an idea of the experience of concentration camp inmates, had used a sharpie to write students’ school ID’s on their arms as they walked in the classroom. How’s that for “tactile learning
Perhaps we can take comfort in the example of forced integration (busing). Black sociologists who originally championed the endeavor later changed course concerned at evidence showing the practice lowered rather than raised white perceptions of black aptitude. I’ve no doubt that some of the brighter students are going through these exercises and gaining their first real understanding that the adult world can, in fact, be inhabited by morons.
Sorta like Kierkegaard, but with sizzle and a cow.
Paraphrasing Kenny describing the ideas of Kierkegaard, ‘Language consists of propositions which picture the world. Propositions are the perceptible expressions of thoughts, and thoughts are logical pictures of facts’. Presumably if we analyse language, we can determine reality, i.e. truth. Not onomatopoeia, but mental image.
When reading the book Language, Truth and Logic by A J Ayer (later in life he thought the book ‘a young man’s book’, i.e. somewhat too certain), think about subjective and objective universalism, and analytic and synthetic propositions. A synthetic proposition can always be verified but never proved and an analytic proposition can always be proved but never verified.
Like (real) conservatives, who confront and respond to reality, and modern (crypto-Marxist) ‘liberals’, who make things up and then make everything agree.
Nation-state-wise, E pluribus unum vs ex uno plures.
”Is truth different from reality?”
Nope, because is like ”feelings” and ”emotions”. Words with very similar if not identical concepts.
Truth is the feeling that something is real, generally, in the subjective, abstract and/or meta-explicit. Reality is the certainty that this feeling is real, specially the abstract reality, see beyond immediate space and time where all of us live constantly. Reality is unpersonal, exist with or without human understanding. Truth is a human way/method to capture the reality.
Is like also to see to this animaland call him as ”cow”.
”We” look for evidences/facts/ and harmonic considerations and give them a name of ”truth”.
In the case of cow, we search for familiar forms/shapes for give them this name. A name is a visual concept itself, a concept without semantic explanations. And many if not almost of ”visual concepts” or ”names” are onomatopoeia-like.
Real truth need to be understood by multiple perspectives and not by common human way to capture her, i mean, reductive rationalizations or unbalanced personal point of views, analitic and deductive egocentric approach.
Nice pic. My bank uses it on its site. To show their friendliness. Didn’t know she was an American teacher.
You are quickly becoming my favorite commenter on Unz. Your perspectives are always original (to me) and very insighful.
I never liked him either. But times change and so do alliances and priorities. The libertarians I identified with during my late adolescence and early adulthood now seem almost as hostile to my interests as the mainstream left and right are.
Some lip service to Israel is absolutely necessary in a US presidential candidate. I’m not convinced Trump has any particular love for Israel or enmity towards Iran.
There will come a time, probably rather soon, when even this sort of lip service to the notion of equality, or even just non-hostility, to other races, nationalities, and religious groups will be seen as a sign of weakness (witness the "cuckservative" meme). Nothing less than hatred, the purer the better, will suffice. The Donald is only the start.Replies: @AndrewR
there was a point at which Trump offered the caveat that he “loves the Mexican people.†There was a light smattering of applause. It was much less applause on this point in Dallas than at other venues, I noted.

Well I would hope we can all agree that that day ideally will never come, although it probably will. Hatred is destructive.
Then why aren’t you a fan?

” They bet on anything in Britain.”
That’s why the modern insurance industry started in London: Lloyd’s (which started as a 17th century Starbucks). After all, what is insurance but a sophisticated form of gambling? One comedian’s definition of a life insurance policy: you are betting that you will die, the life insurance company is betting that you will live, and you hope the life insurance company wins the bet.
“Populism” (of which Trump is often accused) is the very definition of democracy, is it not? It only becomes a reproach when it comes into conflict with that which is favored by Soros and its army of numb-nuts.
Like everybody has said to everybody questioning Trump – name somebody else worthy of voting for.
I read Trump wants to make Mexico pay for a wall on the southern border by preventing remittance payments from illegal aliens until their government ponies up. But then I read him saying he’ll send back all the illegal aliens and THEN build a wall (misreported?). His heart might be in the right place, but does he really have a workable plan? He knew nothing about the major players in ISIS when he was interviewed on a major radio show. Shouldn’t he have been prepared for some simple foreign policy questions? And he doesn’t seem to get the connection between Israel and the wars in the Middle East. I’d prefer not to see a third unqualified/ignorant president in a row in the White House. But I suppose we could always keep our fingers crossed.
You have made some original points there. Many cities had PM newspapers for the working man so when he came home he could relax and read the most updated news as of 2PM

Thank you for adding Lugenpresse to my vocabulary. The Germans do usually have a word for things.
Trump does seem to be the man who understands the Zeitgeist. The Hungarian fence against migrants worked so well it has quieted those opponents who had poo-pooed its effectiveness. Note that it is just a simple chain and barbed wire fence with rigorous follow-up to breaks. A slightly updated double fence with a few hundred feet thorn bushes between and some simple continuity detectors between would not cost billions that the homeland security-industrial combine have offered.
Second the idea of first safe haven is now in the US mindset let alone its press. Mexico of course is responsible for the migrants who cross its boarders. Not as a conduit.
By attacking Jeb’s wife’s heritage, which Jeb had made a strength, Trump has done a classic martial arts move of using the opponents strength to beat him.
Finally attacking Carly Sneed for her looks put her into a front position without touching any of her weaknesses. It will help speed the demise of the little ‘uns from the field. Pull some strength from Hillary. He has manipulated the lugenpresse to make her the anti-Trump sword bearer.
But leave her completely open for attacks on her really piss-poor executive record at Lucent and HP at the correct future time.
Far from being a fool Trump, I am sure has his campaign well mapped out. With each success he is amassing more followers.
The jungle of Commercial RE may be filled with the meanest businesspeople around. More rough and tumble then politics. Whose biggest influences are outside politics. As a loner in the firld and to have done as well as he did may have provided the best background for a Presidential candidate and especially POTUS.
The West has weakened itself with its PC doctrines of nice wars. LBJ (til late) was the last President relatively unencumbered by PC. The Donald may well turn around US opinion and link being “nice” with being dead.
Then find a bookie that will take that bet and mortgage the house. They bet on anything in Britain.
However, if the media no longer “serves†or cares about the worker, what happened to that demand?
The demand is there – they just don’t want to pay for it so the media only cares about who is paying – Capital.
I am still confused as to the confusion and horror being displayed by the media towards the middle class and it’s political preferences.
Those in the media don’t consider themselves part of the middle class. Even if they don’t make as much money as a plumber, they go to the cocktail parties given by the elite.
Obama’s legacy, right there.
I’ve also heard the term oikophobia
People, please…
Oh how I wish; but Trump only cares about the opinion of his peer group. (Not us, need I say.)
They (Trump peers) don’t agree with a word of what he says and will eventually prevail upon him to stop provoking the rubes.
He will drop out.
Sorry.
Jomo Power Complex.
Jews put Obama in power, Obama appoints homos who serve the Jews.

Fecal penetrator to run the US army.
Left-wing liberalism (which is what SJWs preach) didn’t originate in a Jewish brain. Jews, as Kevin Macdonald out, aren’t individualistic enough to come up with an ideology like modern liberalism. It’s a product of the idealistic/individualistic North European hunter-gatherer brain. Jews have simply latched onto it to push their own agendas.
Stop being an intellectual lazy arse and pretending that White people’s problems are all down to a small number of Jews.
I am not a fan of the Donald but I can say this: Trump is one of the few men and the few Americans running for office. The rest are women or eunuchs belonging to the globalist camp.
You mean why isn’t the media using fear of Trump to prove the necessity of the Electoral College? Since when does the MSM support that? I think they’d be tickled pink if there were a directly popular vote, whatever is their attitude toward populism.
An interesting observation, and probably spot on. However, if the media no longer “serves” or cares about the worker, what happened to that demand? At some point, there must have been a demand for news and info from the middle class worker, but that doesn’t seem to be the case any longer; as one fellow put it, “the middle class no longer gets any news, it gets instructions.” Either way, can our “newspapers” be called or related to “news and current events” in any way? The Tribune Publishing company has gone on record as stating that the primary job of a newspaper is to make money, and if any news gets delivered along the way, well, that’s good too.
But all that being said, I am still confused as to the confusion and horror being displayed by the media towards the middle class and it’s political preferences. What confuses me is the question, “Well if the prevalence of middle-class, pro-DT, attitude is a shock to the media, what is the media thinking, what snapshot is in their minds, of the middle-class?” Why aren’t they using this to “prove” the necessity of the Electoral College?
I pray it is Hillary. You hear a lot of talking heads complaining about how Trump is a running a one issue campaign. They’re wrong about that; his campaign isn’t just about immigration, it also centers around America’s hatred of the treacherous media. Shockingly, the media remains completely oblivious to the presence of this second issue. But come the general election, foreign policy will be the issue, and Hillary is going to get bludgeoned. The current state of affairs in Europe has her fingerprints all over it. There’s no way she can hide her involvement in this fiasco. That witch should be in prison.
“…why and how did the MSM get so distant from the attitude of middle class America?”
A repost:
Capital has a long history of weakening Labor by diluting it with cheaper foreign sources. When Labor resists, Capital immediately smears them with the “racist†label. Always it has been thus. What has changed is media participation. In previous eras, media was primarily in print, and had dual loyalties due to the nature of their revenue stream:
Classifieds – split between Capital and Labor, and a lesser revenue source to begin with. Call it a draw.
Advertisements – overwhelmingly Capital. People don’t advertise unless they’ve got something to sell.
Subscriptions – heavily Labor. There are always more workers than owners.
You can’t sell advertising unless you’ve got readers, and the majority of papers had to serve both audiences. But the new model is much different. Subscriptions and sales have plummeted. The new media serves only Capital, as that’s where its revenue stream originates. When people stopped directly paying for their information, they lost control of who the information purveyors served. Yes, media still requires “readership,†but where such readership used to be captured by serving Labor’s interests, it is now captured by serving them banal trivialities and mindless distractions. This is compounded by the demographic shift to a much younger target audience who were never big consumers of print, but are heavy “consumers†of internet. Labor no longer has any control over the media, and they are viewed as sheep to be herded in the direction that the highest bidder wishes.
I believe Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States. I’m still in the Jim Webb camp (at least until the October 3rd Democratic debate, which is pretty much do-or-die, for the Webb campaign), but if Webb falls out of the race before my state’s primary (which doesn’t come ’til June), I will most definitely be voting in the Republican primary (and in the general election), for Donald Trump. This is a fact which amazes me, as I’ve disliked the man since I was a teenager in the 1980s. Apparently, I was wrong to do so.
I thought you were being a little too harsh to the writer of this piece, which I thought was pretty good, so I went back to check some of your prior posts, which I found to be generally very good, very insightful and of high quality. So I remain somewhat mystified. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this relatively minor issue.
As absurd as it is now, all the Social Justice Warrior stuff is is effectively preparation for a White minority America; it constitutes a sort of rough draft of justification for the oppression Whites will see when the oh-so-ethical brown folks reach majority power. It won’t be ridiculous then. It will be normal, be reality, be Law.
Marxism never stops. Any ideology originating in a Jewish brain does not participate in Indo-European understanding of defeat and victory, and will course on undeterred until those infected with it are all gone. It even views its own toxic recalcitrance as virtue.
He could just follow Obama’s lead and issue endless executive orders.
DT is quickly becoming the second question about his candidacy. The first question is: why and how did the MSM get so distant from the attitude of middle class America?
I hope he wins the nomination. I wonder how he will do against Bernie Sanders in the general election.
I’m not sure what Trump is, but I know that I would never vote for any of the other Republican candidates after the latest back-stabbing. Trump could show up at the next debate drunk and expose himself on stage, and he still has more to offer than the other candidates if he is serious about immigration. I don’t like his kowtowing to Israel, which is weak in my opinion, but immigration is the bigger issue at the moment.
Trump’s words about Fiorina’s looks aren’t important. Plenty of mud is slung Trump’s way, and the nation is more important that Carly Fiorina’s face.
The Democratic Party=THE CRUSH WHITEY’S FUCKING SKULL IN PARTY!!!!!
I presume you mean the American ethnos. There is one, you know.
am enjoying Trump’s deconstruction of the always treacherous, neo-con’d Republiscam party. And various race-realist tangents like Ann Coulter’s now-famous tweet, “how many f***king Jews….?”. Other than stretching the Overton Window, though, I’m afraid there’s not much to it. Even if he gets the nomination, the Demoncrats – thanks to 30 years of Republiscam insourcing of cheap mestizo labor that votes collectivist – have a lock on 240 votes in the EC. To win the election, Trump would have to carry Florida and run the table across the rust belt states…not likely to happen. Moreover, if/when he became Prez, the Donald would forget all about his promise to get rid of the illegals and secure the border. Why? Because if he attempted to do these things, an alliance of Demoncrats and cuckservative Republiscams in Congress would impeach and convict him w/in 48 hours. So, enjoy the dog-and-pony show for what its worth…then get your vote out of the System, your money out of the Bank, and your head out of the TeeVee
This article was hopelessly dull. There was nothing new or insightful anywhere. Nothing. Most ‘letters to the editor’ are better. Where’s the Editor in Chief? Life is short. Dump boring or unoriginal material. Otherwise: extinction.
Next!
there was a point at which Trump offered the caveat that he “loves the Mexican people.†There was a light smattering of applause. It was much less applause on this point in Dallas than at other venues, I noted.
There will come a time, probably rather soon, when even this sort of lip service to the notion of equality, or even just non-hostility, to other races, nationalities, and religious groups will be seen as a sign of weakness (witness the “cuckservative” meme). Nothing less than hatred, the purer the better, will suffice. The Donald is only the start.
Ethnophobia must end.
Embrace and defend the ethnos of your people and land.
Good on ‘ya Malc’ ! Can’t disagree a whole lot– people…a cullture that makes the “sob story” a meme is, at a minimum, lacking in taste.
However, isn’t it so EASY to let off shotgun blasts at such a “barn door” as political correctness ?
And isnt it also so easy to have a rant at symptoms, rather than tackling the disease head-on ? No where is there a “why” as to political correctness, let alone an answer.
And, truly, is political correctness worth such an outpouring of scorn, bile, spleen and resentment as our author spews out ?
Well, no doubt, Malc ‘feels a whole lot better, so maybe it was worth-while.
Or maybe that’s all there is to say about the “people” you refer to. I wouldn’t know. I rejoice to say that I have never seen a reality TV show. But if they are like what seems to be the rest of the population, the only thing to say about them is their sob story. It would make a lot more entertaining reality show if they put the contestants–or whatever they are called–into a croker sack with some heavy rocks and threw them into a pond to drown, like unwanted kittens on a farm. I would tune in for such a show. Hell…I’d stand in line for it.
I agree with this article.
Where is our shame, our humility?
We have become a nation of cry babies and full of rapid excuses.
The haunting voices of our, to many, war dead are not heard!
Every time I’ve ever seen a “reality” tv show they tell me sad stories from the lives of the characters, as if that’s the only way to make us care. As if that’s all that anyone’s interested in. They even do it to the ones we’re supposed to hate. I thought it was because the shows are lazy, but maybe that’s actually all anyone’s interested in.
Are you saying they suck so bad that they were both evicted from their home planet? Very interesting. Obviously an advanced race. Indeed.
” From: World Council of Zortags
To: Mr & Mrs XGKUF
Notice: You suck
Result: Tomorrow at 2pm the planet will stop. And you will get off!”
“she is still twice the man John Boehner ever was”
Neither Nuland nor Boehner are human, their manliness is irrelevant.
Well of course heroism has been cheapened. Athletes are called heroes all the time; getting your boil lanced makes you heroic; writing a stern letter to the white patriarchy and holding a candle light vigil outside the mayor’s off makes one a hero as well.
One day soon I predict dumping a grumpy will make a person a hero.
These stories just flat undignified, not befitting an adult.
I am always embarrassed for the sob-storyteller, and always flip the channel or stop reading.
Nice one Malcolm. Being spawned by an alcoholic coal miner and a blind prostitute, I suppose I should be running for office.
The last time Hillary cried in a campaign, her ratings shot up with the left. Expect to see a repeat any day now with the server scandal going on.
“narcissistic, parasitic victim class which has risen to such great heights”
“the thinly veiled code words used to describe our elites are becoming thinner and thinner”
The pics are all of Boehner, but I see him referring to our dark skinned brothers.
