Concept Art
The first float carry Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Goofy. It features larger-than-life flowers inspired by the Hong Kong Bauhinia × blakeana. It feature actual drums that played by Mickey during the parade, whilst the other musical instruments are props.
Based on the 2016 Academy Award-winning hit animated film. It utilizes display screens to showcase advertisements and media themed to the city of Zootopia with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, setting out on exciting new missions. A conveyer belt with moving Lemmings is installed in the rear. The float is led by Clawhauser and a fleet of Zootopian citizens in the form of Zebras, Moose, Armadillos, and Tigers. As well as Finnick, Chief Bogo, Yax, Flash, Priscilla, Mr. Big, Fru Fru and Duke Weaselton on the float.
As for the Zootopia, inspiration was found just a few miles over in the city of Hong Kong. Such as a sign for Lion Rock, which is a mountain that can be found in the city. There’s also signage for “Cowoon,” which plays off the area of Kowloon and there’s a bubble tea billboard, which is a well-loved drink by those in Hong Kong. And also 3 minutes to Sahara Squre from Central station, which is a nod to Central station from HK.
Based on the 2014 Academy Award-winning hit animated film. It includes infrastructures based on the movie itself and includes props and models featuring the best moments from the film. Smoke emitters will be also installed on the float to give off Baymax's flying effect. The dancers are themed to the main protagonists from the film itself, accompanied with wings and visors that could lift up and down. Two dancers have "Macro-bots" mounted onto their body with removable arms and legs, and a rotatable face with exchangeable emotions.
The Toy Story float was duplicated from Tokyo Disneyland's daytime parade, Disney Harmony in Color Parade. Although in appearance they might appear to be identical, they have many differences including going details and colors used. RC Car is even more accentuated in this version and the colors on his splash decals and mouth are blue just like the movies instead of purple. Also in this version, Buzz is strapped onto The Big One rocket just like in the first movie, with three Little Green Men on the float instead of Forky.
Based on the Disney parks' origin characters. It is inspired by scenes and sets from the short film "All aboard! Journey to Joy with Duffy and Friends" by Hong Kong Disneyland for the "Duffy and Friends Play Days" event. The float is led by dancers themed to the float itself with lush greenery and moss, the dancers are accompanied with a set of butterflies mounted on their back or their hand.
