Toy Story Hotel is one of two hotels located within Shanghai Disney Resort, similar in style to Walt Disney World's Value Resorts. A second version of Toy Story Hotel was originally set to open in 2021. However, it was delayed to April 5, 2022 at Tokyo Disney Resort, as part of Tokyo DisneySea's 20th anniversary celebration, since the opening was postponed indefinitely following the closure of the park due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Shanghai hotel has two sections, the Sheriff Woody wing and the Buzz Lightyear wing. The hotel, when viewed from above, looks similar to an infinity symbol.

The floor numbering at the Shanghai Toy Story Resort is this: 1/F, 2/F, 3/F, 5/F, 6/F, 7/F, and 8/F. 4/F is skipped because of cultural supersition.
