Gerald is the head bistro chef of the Rainforest Riviera restaurant at the Rainforest District. During Sam's shift as a waitress at the restaurant, Gerald would tell her to deliver the correct orders for the customers without having them become cold. However, despite his duty as a chef, he is shown to have a rather snarky personality whenever he believes that Sam might not make it to Gazelle's concert in time, even after her shift ended.
Role in the series[]
In "Dinner Rush", Gerald is first seen telling Sam to order up, as the latter tells him that she is planning to go to Gazelle's concert later after she finishes her shift, only for him to admit to her that he doesn't care. He then tasks Sam to deliver various orders to the customers in their corresponding tables. However, when Flash and Priscilla enter the restaurant, Gerald believes that she might not arrive at the concert in time, mockingly telling her to hurry.
After Flash and Priscilla are seated at their table, an irritated Gerald continues commanding Sam to deliver various orders to the customers before they get cold, much to the customers being impatient and upset. Gerald then gets Sam's attention when she gets the customers' orders all mixed up while waiting for Flash to open a bubbly drink. However, Sam's frustration accidentally lets a cork from the bottle ricochet and hit several customers, including Gerald; all the other customers and Gerald become angry and blame Sam for providing the worst service ever as well as Gerald telling her that she will never make it to the concert in time. The riot, however, was interrupted with Flash proposing to Priscilla, causing Gerald and the customers to react in joy, including Sam. After the customers return to their tables, Gerald tells Sam for doing a good job, just before she clocks out of her shift as a waitress so that she can get to Gazelle's concert.
