Destane is a minor antagonist in the animated TV series Aladdin. He is the adopted father of Mozenrath and the former ruler of the Land of the Black Sand.

History

According to Iago, the wizard Destane was a real hard case and even Jafar steered well clear of him. Mozenrath took control of the Land of the Black Sand from Destane. Mozenrath also explained that he stole from Destane, his power and his humanity, and turning him into one of his undead soldiers. This implies that Mozenrath betrayed Destane, killed him, and turned him into a Mamluk.

Trivia

• He was scheduled to appear in the original project of Aladdin and the King of Thieves, with Mozenrath as the primary antagonist and Aladdin's long lost older half-brother.
