Belle's Bedroom is a guest room in the Beast's Castle which the Beast gives to Belle after she had agreed to take her father's place. There she encounters her third enchanted object, a wardrobe, who quickly becomes Belle's first friend. She later meets Mrs. Potts and Chip who kindly bring her a cup of tea.
Description[]
The room was fairly luxurious, at least compared to the dungeon cell. It featured a large pillared stately bed with blue and pink rotund pillows, as well as drapes and a painting.
Appearances[]
Beauty and the Beast[]
Belle's bedroom was first alluded to when the Beast, at Lumiere's advice as well as guilt for thoughtlessly dragging Maurice away before they had a chance to say goodbye, decided to give her an actual bedroom instead of the dungeon cell as originally planned. After the Beast bluntly told her that Belle is to dine with him and that it wasn't a request before slamming the door on her, Belle proceeded to run to the bed, crying out of the harsh events of that night. After some time crying, she then opened the door for Mrs. Potts, giving her first encounter with the enchanted objects. She ultimately decided not to go to dinner with the Beast, resulting in a huge shouting match between the two that culminated in Belle (after the Beast's insincere attempt to be polite and genteel failed) being locked in her room by the Beast as punishment. Belle then divulged her low opinion of the Beast to the Wardrobe and implied her refusal to have anything to do with him, which the Beast overheard via the magic mirror. She eventually snuck out of her bedroom (as Lumiere was distracted by one of the maids) due to being a little hungry. It is not seen again after this in the original release, although it eventually got a reappearance in the Special Edition DVD song "Human Again", where the various servants, under regained hope of gaining their human forms again, proceeded to clean up the room.
Marvel Comics serial[]
The room appeared in various issues of the Marvel Comics serial, namely in scenes focusing on Belle and/or the Wardrobe.
