Mbita is a character in the Disney+ Original series Baymax! He is a food vendor, who realizes that he has an allergy to fish, ruining his business, but learns to move on with the help of Baymax.

Mbita is a down-to-earth young man who embraces his culture, family heritage and orientation. However, he feared change and was worried about losing the thing that he loved most following the revelation about his allergy. He eventually comes to accept change and tries to make himself a better person while also becoming more confident in social skills and abilities.

Physical appearance[]
Mbita is a tall slender African-American man with tall flat hair. He usually wears either an orange, or purple shirt, denim jeans and black sneakers. When working, he wears a beige apron and a paper hat.
Role in the series[]
Mbita comes from a family who serves and cooks fish, but he had developed a fish allergy at some point. Despite that, he continues family heritage and orientation, and kept his allergy hidden.

- Mbita is the one of many Disney's LGBTQ+ character to be featured in a major role in a Walt Disney Animation Studios production.
- This is one of the LGBTQ+ characters that Jaboukie Young-White portrays, the second being Ethan Clade.
- Young-White himself is openly gay in real life.
- Mbita's fish allergy specifically causes Angioedema. The way it is portrayed in the series is slightly different from how it is portrayed in real life. This was done so that it was not off-putting to the audience.[1]
