Spooky "Boo!" Parade was a parade held during the Disney's Halloween event at Tokyo Disneyland. This parade debuted in 2018. The parade returned on September 15, 2022, as part of Disney's Halloween 2022 at Tokyo Disneyland. On July 26th, 2024, The Oriental Land Company announced a new Halloween-themed parade would debut during Disney's Halloween 2024, thus confirming Spooky "Boo!" Parade's retirement.
The train carrying Max , Huey, Dewey, and Louie was decorated with the design on the chair sitting next to the Endless Hallway. The car connected to the engine also had tombstones with puns, much like the ones found in the queue.
The “Spooky Boo” float carried a pair of dancers dressed like knights - a gijinka (anthropomorphism) of the knight found in the Haunted Mansion. The same float also carried tombstones with puns - some of them lifted right from the attraction, like I. Emma Spook and I.M. Ready.
The same chair design was printed on a cart pushed by a skeleton, called “Pop Bone”.
A gown worn by one of the dancers was colored and designed similarly to the traditional maid uniforms worn in the mansion.
The parade’s theme of friendly ghosts inviting mortals into their world is identical to themes from the Haunted Mansion - happy haunts terrorizing for fun.
In 2019, the Bride was added to the parade. She walked in front of the float with Mickey and the knights. Her appearance differed from previous Bride costumed characters - her hair is done up in a bun, and her dress and veil are more stylized and cartoony - but her dress is designed with a red heart in the center of her chest. This was the first time that the original bride appeared in the parks as a live character. The bride was accompanied by five men dressed in matching suits and top hats. They acted as admirers to her. They proposed to her and she playfully pushed them away, as they made their way down the parade route.
The Villains Rockin' Halloween[]
In 2022, The Disney Villains and Villain Recruiters from Tokyo DisneySea's Halloween from 2015 to 2018 take over the floats as they invite guests into their mysterious world during evening. The soundtrack features songs like "The Villains World" and "Haunted Rockin' Street" which had retired in previous years.
