Brandon Roberts is a minor character appearing in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V.
History[]
Background[]
Brandon is a famous Vinewood actor.
He appears to be very full of himself, and compliments himself from time to time. He claims to be allergic to pineapple.
Events of Grand Theft Auto IV[]
Brandon is the first guest interviewed on the Public Liberty Radio program The Intelligent Agenda, where host Mike Riley introduces him as the star of a new movie Flowerman, despite his name not appearing on promotional billboards for the film. Brandon is working on ending global warming, and wears a T-shirt that has a slogan or image of ending global warming on it. However it becomes obvious that he only gets involved in the causes he does for self-promotion purposes. Towards the end of his interview, he says "Kifflom", which suggests that he is a follower of the Epsilon Program.
He has acted mostly in action movies, including one where he is on the Los Santos Freeway and is being chased by a giant monkey (calling it "a nice quiet character piece"). Other named projects include Flowerman and TV sitcom Family Interrupted.
Events of Grand Theft Auto V[]
Roberts appears physically in Grand Theft Auto V. He appears in the mission "Deep Inside" as the star of a new action movie Deep Inside. Franklin Clinton knocks out Roberts and steals his clothes in order to gain access to the set and steal a JB 700. During this mission, the player needs to hit Roberts with the car while escaping to achieve a gold medal.
He is one of the honored celebrities on the Vinewood Walk of Fame, although his star is obscured by a scissor lift.
Character[]
Influence[]
Roberts seems to be a parody of successful actors from the late 1980s and early 1990s, primarily Tom Cruise. He could also based on English actor Daniel Craig, due to his role in Deep Inside, which is based on James Bond.
