The Blackmailer is a minor character in Grand Theft Auto IV.

History[]

Events of Grand Theft Auto IV[]

McReary: "So there's a guy trying to blackmail me."

Niko: "Who?"

McReary: "I don't know. Thinks he's getting paid, though. The guy's smart. He arranged to do an exchange with McReary by the Humboldt River off Silicon Street. Said to call him from the viewpoint there."

The blackmailer was hired by Tom Goldberg, a lawyer from Goldberg, Ligner & Shyster, to take humiliating photos of LCPD Deputy Police Commissioner Francis McReary and blackmail him into losing his job.

The blackmailer arranges to do an exchange with McReary by the Humboldt River off Silicon Street in Algonquin. McReary, in return, hires Niko Bellic to find the blackmailer and reclaim the photos. Niko lures out the blackmailer by calling him and find a man who speaking in the phone.

Upon killing the blackmailer, Niko picks up the storage device containing the photos, and brings it back to McReary, who destroys any evidence of the photos.
