Dale O'Neil is a minor character appearing in Grand Theft Auto V.

Dale O'Neil is a member of the O'Neil Brothers, a family of inbred, redneck meth dealers who are rivals with Trevor Philips, one of the main protagonists in Grand Theft Auto V.

History[]

Background[]

Dale is a member of the inbred redneck O'Neil family, and brother to several siblings, including Elwood, Walton, Wynn, Ernie, Earl, Doyle, Daryl and Dan. The family was raised in a ranch in Grapeseed, Blaine County, San Andreas, which they still use as a home and meth lab. The brothers are involved in selling drugs and cooking meth, with Elwood serving as a leader to his brothers.

Dale and his brothers are familiar with Trevor Philips, a fellow drug dealer and the owner of Trevor Philips Enterprises, whom the brothers are rivals with.

Events of Grand Theft Auto V[]

Trevor arrives at the Yellow Jack Inn and confronts Tao Cheng and his interpreter. When they mention they want to pursue other jobs, Trevor threatens them to get them to tell him who they are working with, which turn out to be the O'Neil brothers. Trevor, now furious, proceeds to the O'Neil ranch, calling to threaten Elwood O'Neil on the way there. Upon arrival, Trevor begins a heavy assault against the guards and goes to the basement where the O'Neil's meth lab is located. Dale will be down in the basement begging for his life; if he is not killed, he will pull out a sawed-off shotgun and start shooting, so therefore has to be killed. Trevor then picks up a Jerry can and pours a trail of petrol leading throughout the house and outside, and then ignites the trail, causing the house to explode in a blazing inferno. He then proceeds to leave the area.

Appearance[]

Similarly to Elwood, Walton and Wynn, the character model of Dale in the cutscene is different than the one in-game. He can either appear as a meth cook (dubbed "Meth Heavy" in Director Mode) or a randomized generic Alamo Sea pedestrian (dubbed "Alamo" in Director Mode).
