Dale was scheduled to be a supporting character in Grand Theft Auto V, but was removed during the game's development.
Description[]
Dale was originally supposed to appear in a Strangers and Freaks mission given to Franklin Clinton. While there are no traces of his two cut missions in the game files, a mission.xml file was unintentionally left in the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 files, giving further details about the events of these missions. He has an unused in-game and a cutscene character model left unused in the game files in all versions of the game.
During his first encounter near an unidentified nightclub, Dale would ask Franklin to photograph 10 "hot women" and send the pictures to his phone contact. It is an ambient task, meaning that the player wouldn't have to complete this mission immediately after the cutscene (similar to Exercising the Truth).[1]
In the second and last encounter, Franklin would find Dale drugging the same women from the photos. Presumably, the game would register each female pedestrian model the player photographed earlier to appear during this subsequent mission. In an attempt to prevent Dale from drugging the women, Franklin himself is drugged by Dale, who quickly attempts to escape the scene. Franklin has the task to chase and eliminate Dale during a car chase while under the influence of the drugs.[2]
