Officer Jernigan is a female police officer who works for the Los Santos Police Department in the city of Los Santos that can usually be found at the Mission Row Police Station.
Her rank is Officer I as she has no stripes on her uniform.
Events of Grand Theft Auto Online[]
She appears in GTA Online as a motorcycle officer in the mission Chopper Tail (and Crooked Cop in the Enhanced Version, replacing Vasquez). She also appears in Setup: Impounded Car, guarding Sessanta's Tailgater S along with another unnamed female officer. She can also spawn in a sheriff cruiser or police interceptor to give chase during car source missions either as an LSSD deputy or LSPD officer. She may also appear guarding some of the cars during these missions.
Events of Grand Theft Auto V[]
In Grand Theft Auto V she can appear after Franklin Clinton meets Barry in Textile City as part of the Grass Roots Strangers & Freaks missions. If Franklin does not immediately leave the area, Barry will mention the police are watching him and Franklin will get a 1-star wanted level. The first Police Cruiser on the scene will contain Jernigan and another un-named female police officer[1]. Subsequent patrol cars will contain the usual pair of male LSPD officers.

Jernigan's model varies in game, therefore individual elements of her physical appearance may differ each time she spawns.
The Jernigan name badge can also be found on Los Santos County Sheriff female deputies spawning at Sandy Shores Sheriff's Station or on patrol in Blaine County.
