William Bernard Herlands (1905-1969) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Herlands received a recess appointment from President Dwight Eisenhower on August 12, 1955, to a seat vacated by Edward Conger; he was then nominated on January 12, 1956, confirmed by the Senate on June 26, 1956, and received his commission on June 27th. He served until his death on August 28, 1969.[1] Herlands was succeeded in this position by Lawrence Pierce.
