Gabriel W. Gorenstein is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He was first appointed to this position on March 2, 2001, and has been reappointed to two consecutive terms. His current term will expire on March 1, 2025.[1][2]
Education
Judge Gorenstein was born in 1957 in New York City. He received his B.A. degree in psychology from Yale University in 1979 and his J.D. degree from Columbia Law School in 1984.[3]

Gorenstein was appointed to be a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on March 2, 2001. He was reappointed in 2009 and 2017 to eight-year terms. His current term expires in 2025.[1][2]
