Kevin Thomas Duffy was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Duffy was nominated by President Richard Nixon on September 25, 1972. Duffy was succeeded in this position by Richard Berman. He assumed senior status on January 10, 1998, and served in that capacity until his retirement on September 30, 2016.[1]

Duffy died of COVID-19 on April 1, 2020, at age 87.[2]

Duffy earned his A.B. and LL.B. from Fordham College in 1954 and 1958, respectively.[1]

Duffy was nominated by President Richard Nixon on September 25, 1972, to a seat vacated by Irving Cooper. Duffy was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on October 12, 1972, and received commission on October 17. Duffy was succeeded in this position by Richard Berman. He assumed senior status on January 10, 1998, and served in that capacity until September 30, 2016.[1]
