Fred Kunzel (1901-1969) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.

Kunzel was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on February 16, 1959, to a seat vacated by Jacob Weinberger; he was confirmed by the Senate on September 9, 1959, and received his commission on September 10th. From 1967-1969, he served as the chief judge. He served the Southern District of California until his death on November 19, 1969. Kunzel was succeeded in this position by Howard Turrentine.
