Joe McDonald Ingraham (1903-1990) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Judicial nominations and appointments

Fifth Circuit

Ingraham was nominated to the Fifth Circuit by President Richard Nixon on December 2, 1969, to a new seat created by 82 Stat. 184; he was confirmed by the Senate on December 17, 1969, and received his commission on December 18th. He assumed senior status on July 31, 1973. He served the Fifth Circuit until his death on May 27, 1990.[1]

Southern District of Texas

Ingraham was nominated to the Southern District of Texas by President Dwight Eisenhower on May 10, 1954, to a seat vacated by Thomas Martin Kennerly; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 6, 1954, and received his commission that same day. He served the Southern District of Texas until he was elevated to the Fifth Circuit on December 31, 1969.[1] Ingraham was succeeded in this position by Carl Bue.
