Martin Donald Van Oosterhout (1900-1979) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.

Van Oosterhout was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on August 16, 1954, to a seat vacated by Seth Thomas; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 20, 1954, and received his commission on August 26th. He served as chief judge from 1968-1970. He assumed senior status on July 6, 1971, and served in that capacity until his death on January 28, 1979.
