Omer Poos (1902-1976) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.

Poos was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on August 16, 1958, to a seat vacated by Charles G. Briggle; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 19, 1958, and received his commission on August 21, 1958. From 1966-1972, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on August 31, 1973. He served until his death on August 11, 1976.[1] Poos was succeeded in this position by Harlington Wood.
