Frederick Olen Mercer (1901-1966) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.

Mercer was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on May 17, 1956, to a seat vacated by J. Leroy Adair; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 13, 1956, and received his commission on June 19, 1956. From 1958-1966, he served as the chief judge. He served until his death on April 3, 1966.[1]
