Roby Calvin Thompson (1898-1960) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia.[1]

Thompson was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on August 16, 1957, to a seat vacated by Alfred Barksdale; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 28, 1957, and received his commission on August 30th. He served as chief judge from 1958 until his death on July 29, 1960.[1] Thompson was succeeded in this position by Thomas Michie.
