Joe Ewing Estes (1903-1989) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Estes was nominated to the Northern District of Texas by President Dwight Eisenhower on July 18, 1955, to a seat vacated by William H. Atwell; he was confirmed by the Senate on July 28, 1955, and received his commission on August 1, 1955. From 1959-1972 he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on July 1, 1972. He served the Northern District of Texas until his death on October 24, 1989.[1]
