Emett Clay Choate (1891-1974) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Choate was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on June 22, 1954, to a new seat created by 68 Stat. 8; he was confirmed by the Senate on July 20, 1954, and received his commission that same day. He assumed senior status on January 31, 1965, and served in that capacity until his death on August 14, 1974. Choate was succeeded in this position by William Mehrtens.
