Edwin Monroe Stanley (1909-1971) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.[1]

Stanley received a recess appointment from President Dwight Eisenhower on October 23, 1957, to a seat vacated by Johnson Jay Hayes; he was nominated on January 13, 1958, confirmed by the Senate on February 25, 1958, and he received commission on February 27th. He served as chief judge from 1961 until his death on December 23, 1971.[1]
