Joel Harvey Slomsky is a federal judge on senior status for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. President George W. Bush (R) appointed Slomsky in July 2008. He joined the court in October 2008 and retired, adopting senior status, October 9, 2018.[1][2]
Education
Slomsky received his B.A. degree from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1967 and a J.D. from New York Law School in 1970.[2]

Federal judicial nomination
Eastern District of Pennsylvania
President George W. Bush (R) nominated Slomsky July 24, 2008, to fill the seat previously occupied by James Giles. The U.S. Senate confirmed Slomsky September 26, 2008, and he received commissioned October 6, 2008. Slomsky retired, assuming senior status, October 9, 2018.[2]
