Noteworthy cases
ACORN challenges Pennsylvania voter registration law (2010)
On May 28, 2010, Judge Fischer ordered that a lawsuit by ACORN must proceed despite challenges to dismiss the case. ACORN sued the state of Pennsylvania over a state law banning the use of quotas in voter registration drives. Attorney General Tom Corbett argued to have the case dismissed on the basis of ACORN shutting down. In 2011, Judge Fischer dismissed the suit.[5][6]
