Gregory Frizzell is an Article III federal judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. He joined the court in 2007 after being nominated by President George W. Bush. Prior to appointment, Frizzell was a judge on the 14th Judicial District.[1]

On March 14, 2012, Frizzell was elevated to the position of chief judge.[2]

Early life and education

Frizzell graduated from the University of Tulsa with his bachelor's degree in 1981 and from the University of Michigan Law School with a Juris Doctor in 1984.[1]

Northern District of Oklahoma

On the recommendation of Senators Tom Coburn and James Inhofe, Frizzell was nominated to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma by President George W. Bush on January 9, 2007, to a seat vacated by Sven Holmes. The Senate confirmed Frizzell's nomination on February 1, 2007 by unanimous consent, and Frizzell received commission on February 2, 2007.[3]
