James Scott Young (1848-1914) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
He was nominated by President Theodore Roosevelt on January 14, 1908 to fill a seat vacated by Nathaniel Ewing. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 22nd, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on February 25, 1914.[1] Young was succeeded in this position by W. H. Seward Thomson.
