Melty Pristis (メルティ・プリスティス) is an exclusive character from the video game Re:Zero: The Prophecy of the Throne. She is the former sixth candidate to become the 42nd King of Lugunica. After exposed to be an imposter of the throne, she stepped down from the Royal Selection and settled with Tiga, Salum/Wolf and Pooka in Kararagi.
Appearance[]
Melty is a beautiful young lady with long purple twin-tail hair that is a centimeter off the ground with a small ahoge and amber-colored eyes. She wears a nun outfit with Arabian aesthetic. Her attire consists of a slit-blue dress and white knee-high boots. Both tails of her hair are wrapped around with gold chains and she adorns a gold necklace that is the shape of the Divine Dragon.
Personality[]
Melty is a nun who works at the Divine Dragon Church, who believes in the Divine Dragon, and the sixth candidate for the Royal Selection to appear in the Kingdom of Lugunica. She is a polite and soft-spoken girl who is always low profile, and somewhat protective. Melty is reserved, but she's also very modest and compassionate. She tries her best to do everything, but because she is in a hurry, she can be a bit of a screw-up.
History[]
Before arriving in Lugunica, Melty was a normal girl in Faradar. When she was a child, she was a human who looked different from the rest of the world, but everyone accepted her for who she is and she accepted that kindness. However, what she hadn't realized was that her Evil Eye of Indoctrination was the cause of the events that drove people to kill themselves. Because of this, she was imprisoned far away from the village. One day, she met a young boy named Tiga, back when he was a traveling entertainer, and the two became good friends.
Sometime in the past, Melty had met Mother, who sealed her third and closed her throat, making it so she couldn’t eat food. The only way that Melty can ingest food was by feeding her by injection through the Mana Swarms that Mother created.
The nightmare finally ended when she was saved by Subaru and had surgery on her throat.
Abilities[]
Evil Eye (魔眼 Magan): Melty has an Evil Eye called Evil Eye of Indoctrination (教化の魔眼 Kyōka no Magan): It is a very rare ability among the Evil Eye Tribe, however, it is considered to be too dangerous, since it can affect its own kind. For that reason, Melty was locked up. Her eye can manipulate someone unconditionally, just by touching the person. Whoever is touched follows her orders as long as she commands them. It was originally on her hands, however, when she met Mother, her eye was hidden so that no one could see it when used.
Magic (魔法, Mahō): Melty had a small supplement of power and talent with water magic that she could ease someone's suffering.
- Healing Magic (治癒魔法, Chiyu Mahō): Melty summons water mana to heal the wounds of herself and others. She can also heal someone's illnesses.
Equipment: Melty wields a long staff that holds a book that contains spells.

- At a talk show held in March 2024, the author stated that he would like to introduce Melty and Tiga somewhere into the mainline story.
