The Turbulent Week (激動の一週間, Gekidō no Isshūkan) is the second arc of the Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu series. It is preceded by Arc 1, The Tumultuous First Day, and followed by Arc 3, Return to the Royal Capital. In the web novel, the first chapter of Arc 2 was released on May 9, 2012, and its last chapter was released on July 8, 2012. Arc 2 consists of forty-nine chapters and an interlude in the web novel, two light novel volumes, a manga adaptation made by Fūgetsu Makoto, and an anime adaptation with eight episodes.
After saving Emilia, Subaru stays at Roswaal Manor, where he starts working as a butler with Ram and Rem. Nevertheless, during his first days there, he is mysteriously murdered. Hoping to discover the killer, Subaru does everything possible to gain the trust of everyone at the mansion.
