Leon Rene Yankwich (1888-1975) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.

He was nominated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on August 21, 1935 to a seat created by 49 Stat. 508. He was confirmed by the Senate on August 23rd, and received commission August 24th. From 1951 to 1959, he was the chief judge. On April 28, 1964, he assumed senior status and continued to serve on this court until September 18, 1966, when he was reassigned to the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He served until his death on February 9, 1975.
