Terrain and Ecology[]
The Appetit Region has mountainous terrain, and its high altitude contributes to long winters and cold weather with regular snowfall. The vegetation is sparse, but coniferous trees grow within lush forests in the location. Human occupation is secluded and secured against dangerous wildlife. Domesticated cats and dogs are present, and cattle is raised. As with most places in the Northern Lands, travelers may encounter dangerous creatures.
The Town[]
A town in the Appetit Region houses a sizable population and contains many establishments. The buildings within the town appear to be built with primarily wood and stone.

Travels to Äußerst Arc[]
Twenty-nine years after Himmel's death, on Stark's eighteenth birthday, Frieren and Fern discuss what to give him as birthday gifts. Frieren decides on a potion that melts clothes, which is quickly shut down by Fern, who pours it on her, leaving Frieren to find a new gift. For that, she combs once more through her suitcase.
Fern decides to investigate Stark on her own. She tracks his deeds done through the town and ends up meeting him. She then asks him directly what he desires. Stark mentions how he never received gifts growing up due to his weakness, and his brother, Stoltz, the best warrior in his hometown and the only one kind to Stark, was the one to fight against demons during an attack while he simply fled. Fern comforts him and they find a gift, a bracelet, that Stark chooses.
Frieren shows Eisen's hamburger steak recipe to Stark.
Stark and Fern return to the inn where Frieren is cooking giant hamburger steaks. Frieren reveals she received the recipe from Eisen, who had made them for the members of the Hero Party during their journey as a way of expressing gratitude towards their efforts as warriors on their birthdays. Eisen also always made steaks for Stark's birthday. Stark recalls his brother making a steak for his birthday as well and that his brother was the one who told him to run and escape the fateful night of the demon attack. In better spirits, he enjoys the rest of his birthday with his companions.
