Synopsis[]

Divine Revolte Arc[]

Thirty years after the death of the Hero Himmel, Frieren's Party finds itself on the opposite side of a mountain from Genau's hometown in the Rufen Region. They receive an urgent request from the Continental Magic Association to exterminate demons in the area and rush to assist.

Meanwhile, First-Class Mages Methode and Genau arrive at the latter's hometown, where they successfully exterminate the demons. However, they realize that the Demon General who led the attack is still alive. When Frieren, Fern, and Stark arrive, they discuss their next steps. It is decided that Genau and Stark will remain to guard the village and its corpses until the Chivalric Order of Norm arrives, while Frieren, Methode, and Fern head to an abandoned fortress suspected of housing more demons.

Both groups are attacked simultaneously—Divine Revolte confronts Genau and Stark, while Frieren, Methode, and Fern are ambushed by two other demons. After fierce fighting, the demons are defeated, though Genau and Stark suffer serious injuries. Upon returning to the village, Methode heals them using the Goddess's Magic. Some time later, the Chivalric Order of Norm arrives to retrieve the bodies, and Methode and Genau escort them, while Frieren's Party continues their journey northward.
