The Ernst Region 「エルンスト
Overview[]
The Ernst Region is primarily composed of grasslands and has a cold climate. It is an agricultural area capable of producing a variety of crops. The region is known for being a peaceful area, featuring a well-maintained main road and almost no dangerous monsters. This has made it a key passage connecting the Northern Plateau to the Empire, lying adjacent to the Wissen Mountains. A farm village is also located within the region.
Due to its close proximity to the Empire, the Ernst Region is strongly influenced by the largest country in the Northern Lands. The frequent travel between the two areas leads to cultural overlap and creates ambiguity regarding control over the region between the Chivalric Order of Norm and the Empire.[1]
The Farm Village[]
The farm village is a sizable human settlement with its own agricultural fields. It also includes an inn and a cabin that houses various grimoires.
Synopsis[]
Goddess's Monument Arc[]
Thirty-one years after the death of the Hero Himmel, Frieren's Party travels through the Ernst Region and decides to stay at an inn in a farming village. The innkeeper approaches them for assistance, as a monster with metal-like hardness has devastated their crops. In exchange, Frieren requests a grimoire of her choosing.
While observing the fields at night, Frieren, Fern, and Stark discover that the monster is an ancient Golem from the era of the Unified Empire. Frieren successfully deactivates it and informs the innkeeper the next day that she can contact the Empire to collect the Golem, as it could be valuable if properly maintained. As a reward, Frieren receives a spell that allows a paper airplane to fly far.
