Terrain and Ecology[]
The region around the Eng Road is a terrain with mountains and steep hills in the Northern Lands, which can lead to landslides that end up blocking the path. The forest within the valleys has mixed species of trees, and the elevated areas grow coniferous trees. Merchants appear to bring in goods through the Eng Road and into the nearby town. The area was once attacked by a demon, but it was vanquished by the Hero Party.
The Town[]
A fairly developed town can be reached through the Eng Road, and the road is used by merchants wanting to sell and trade in the town. It is well protected, with walls surrounding the town. Every year, it has a liberation festival in honor of the Hero Party subduing a demon. The residents celebrate by decorating a statue of the Hero Party and engaging in festivities.

Beyond Journey's End Arc[]
Frieren's party attends the Liberation Festival.
Twenty-eight years after Himmel's passing, Frieren, Fern, and Stark arrive at a portion of the Eng Road blocked from a landslide. After helping a merchant by clearing the road, they travel with him to town. When they reach the town, they find out the Liberation Festival is taking place that same night, which commemorates the day the Hero Party subjugated the monster that was oppressing the region. The townspeople celebrate by decorating the statues of the Hero Party. The merchant tells Frieren that it is on this day everyone remembers Himmel and his party, making her recall a memory of when Himmel told her he makes statues of himself and the party so that Frieren would not be alone in the future. They reach the town and see the statues decorated with flowers and the residents celebrating. The next day, the trio continues their voyage towards Heaven.
