The Wissen Mountains 「ヴィッセン
Overview[]
The Wissen Mountains are a mountain range in the Northern Plateau. The area is characterized by steep paths and features a village situated on lower grounds, surrounded by forest. Due to the large mountain range blocking the wind, the weather is unstable and frequently cloudy.[1] Sky-Mountain Dragons are known to frequent the skies in this region.
The Village[]
The village contains several houses and buildings, including a bar and a magic shop.
Synopsis[]
Goddess's Monument Arc[]
Thirty-one years after the death of Himmel the Hero, Frieren's Party climbs the steep path of the Wissen Mountains. Along the way, they encounter a herbalist from a nearby village who asks for their assistance in solving a mystery: non-native seeds have been falling from the sky into the region. Some of these leaves and nuts are valuable for medicinal purposes, and the herbalist hopes to solve the mystery in order to save lives. In exchange for their help, he offers ingredients for magic potions, which Frieren agrees to.
Frieren and her party begin their investigation by asking the villagers about any unusual occurrences. They learn that the shadow of a dragon is often seen overhead on clear days. Waiting for the skies to clear, they eventually spot a dragon high above. Frieren, with Fern carrying Stark, fly up to investigate. They discover a Sky-Mountain Dragon with various plants growing on its back, deducing it to be the source of the mysterious seeds.
After gathering the seeds and leaves for the herbalist, the party returns to the village. Grateful for their help in solving the mystery, the herbalist thanks them and gives them the promised reward. With their task complete, they continue their journey toward Aureole.
