The Drachen Region ｢ドラッへ
Overview[]
The Drachen Region is a rugged area covered with forests. It is home to a human settlement, as well as cliffs and chasms. Like in the rest of the Northern Plateau, dragons typically travel in a thunder and are known to nest in this region.[1]
The Village[]
The village is a relatively large settlement, though it is economically impoverished. Following an attack by a thunder of dragons, many buildings were left in ruins, prompting ongoing reconstruction efforts. The village also features a church that serves as a place for healing.
Synopsis[]
The Golden Land Arc[]
Thirty years after the death of the Hero Himmel, Frieren's Party encounters a village in the Drachen Region that has been devastated by a dragon attack. Drachen Region chief explains that they were assaulted by a thunder of dragons and request Frieren to exterminate the nearby nesting dragons.
At first, Frieren refuses, stating that the village is beyond saving. However, after Fern and Stark challenge her decision, and the villager offers a reward—a spell that allows you to say tongue twisters without tripping over your words—she changes her mind.
Frieren and her party trace the dragons' mana, searching the region for their nest. After locating it, they engage in battle and successfully defeat the thunder of dragons. Upon returning to the village, they seek healing at a nearby church and receive their reward.
Later, as the party continues their journey, Fern asks Frieren why she always requests rewards for helping others. Frieren explains that Himmel once taught her to accept small rewards to avoid leaving people feeling indebted.
