The Bier Regionビーア () (ほう) Bīa chihō? is a region situated in the Northern Plateau.

Synopsis[]

History[]

Over a millennium before the death of Himmel the Hero, Milliarde decides to kill some time and carves an inscription in the Bier Region that describes Boshaft as the finest spirit. She also places a storage full of Boshaft near the inscription, and places a powerful barrier over it.

Continued Northern Travels Arc[]

Twenty-nine years after Himmel's death, Frieren's Party travels through the Bier Region and stops in a town to stock up on supplies. While there, they meet Fass, who persuades Frieren to help him uncover Boshaft. He informs them about the inscription and the ruins he discovered. Although Frieren initially refuses to assist, even with the offer of twenty Reich gold coins, she later changes her mind, encouraged by Stark and Fern.

For the next three months, Frieren's Party stays in the town and successfully dispels the barrier. Once they open the door to the ruins and find Boshaft, Fass takes a sip. He struggles to describe the taste, prompting Frieren to declare it awful—worse than any alcohol she has ever encountered. Noticing that Stark hasn't tasted it yet, she forces him to take a sip. Stark reacts with shock at the terrible flavor, which leads to laughter among the party.

Fass reflects on the drink’s taste and laughs, claiming there is enough for everyone in the village to share. Later, Fass and the party are seen enjoying the drink with the rest of the villagers. Although Fass admits it was a disappointing outcome, he insists it was the most fun evening he's ever had. As they leave the town, he concludes that if one is going to drink, they might as well enjoy it to the fullest.
