The MTL Pounder is a large box truck in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
The vehicle's main cabin and chassis design is similar to that of the real life International Harvester, and draws some inspirations from other Mack trucks. The cab looks almost identical to the Mack CH613 with some similarities to the International 9000.
The Pounder is a box truck equivalent of the Packer and the Flatbed, sharing the same front and cabin. The rear section mainly consist of a cargo box with red/white warning stripes on the sides, large metallic cargo doors on the rear end and circular tail lights derived from most semi trucks, along with a rear guard that is similar to the Flatbed and most towable trailers. The Pounder is also fitted with a CB radio, and occasional trucker chatter can be heard regardless of whether the main radio is turned on or off. The chatter will only play if playing as Trevor and in Blaine County.
The vehicle can spawn in a limited variety of single colors for the cabin, while the cargo box may have either a Rob's Liquor or a Big G Goods livery on the sides. It uses a set of industrial wheels also shared with the Flatbed and the Packer.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
The vehicle's size and heavy weight leave it slightly inferior in terms of handling, but its top speed and acceleration are very impressive for a truck of this size. Its turning radius is quite big due to its long wheelbase, however its heavy weight makes it very useful for ramming other cars off the road, and it is a very durable vehicle.
The Pounder is powered by what appears to be a V8 engine, coupled to a 4-speed gearbox and powering the rear wheels. Strangely, the engine model appears to use 8 spark plugs textures, suggesting it is a petrol engine (untypical for a vehicle of this kind). This suggests that the engine can only be a petrol single-cam V8. Like the Flatbed and the Packer, the engine sound is somewhat similar to a diesel engine, which revs moderately high (yet still lower than other trucks, such as the Benson and Police Riot), and provides a significantly smooth engine sound, yet the roar produced from the engine can still be heard unlike the aforementioned vehicles, the Benson and Police Riot.

General[]

- The name might also be a sexual reference to "pounding" which refers to rough sexual intercourse.
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
- Due to reused interior assets, the rear cargo hold features seating areas that indicate the location of the wheel wells, despite the entire cargo box being raised above the initial chassis.
