The Canis Freecrawler is an off-road SUV featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the After Hours update, released on September 4th, 2018, during the Freecrawler Week event.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Freecrawler is a four-door SUV evidently based on the Rezvani Tank SUV, itself being a rugged take on the Jeep Wrangler (which the Mesa is based on), having the characteristic profile and angled compartment. The tail lights seems to take inspirations from those of the Hummer HX.
The Freecrawler is designed as a short yet tall SUV, featuring a large black front bumper, narrow headlights, and a mesh grille surrounded by chrome trim. On the outer edges of the hood area, there are two distinctive formations that are protruding from the rest of it.
The sides feature black trims on the front wheel arches, as well as black side skirts. Around the cabin, the vehicle features black rear-view mirrors, B-pillars, and part of the C-pillars.
The rear end denotes its tall design, sporting an angled roof and a seemingly lower rear window. It sports two rectangular tail lights, separated from the rear window by black trims. The rear bumper is very large and spans through the rear end and rear wheel arches. Two circular exhaust tubes can be seen below the bumper, as well as the license plate. Similar to various off-road vehicles, sump guards can be seen on both ends of the underside, almost above the axles. The car features two rear compartment doors, which opens up at once when using the corresponding option through the Interaction Menu.
Most of the car's bodywork and the sump guards are painted in a primary color, while the concave portions on the sides, the outer section just near the rear wheel arches and the suspension springs are painted in a secondary color. Its stock wheels are identical to the "Nevis" off-road wheels available in Los Santos Customs, albeit using the old rugged tread pattern and painted with a wheel color.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
Compared to other similar off-road vehicles, the Freecrawler has average top speed and acceleration. While not as fast as vehicles like the Riata and the Kamacho, it possess good handling and great torque, as it can sort uneven terrain with ease. Despite the rather high suspension, it does not lose balance very easily.
Like the Riata, the Freecrawler has a twin-cam Inline-4 engine with throttle bodies on the intake manifold, with an engine sound identical to the Nightshark.

- IFruit Radio (Enhanced Editions only. May not play due to a three station limit within the group)
Trivia[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- According to game files, the Freecrawler would have been called the "Rezevoar"[1], homophonic to the term "reservoir" and a reference to Rezvani Motors, the brand of the vehicle it is based on.
- The ‘Carbon Canis Grille’ and the ‘Accented Canis Grille’ options are mistakenly named with one-another.
