The Canis Kamacho is an off-road utility truck featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Doomsday Heist update, released on February 6th, 2018, during the Battle Week event.
Influence[]
The Kamacho draws significant inspiration from various Jeep concepts, particularly the Jeep Crew Chief 715 concept and the Jeep Nukizer 715, both of which pay tribute to the Kaiser Jeep M715. The front fascia is reminiscent of the Jeep Chief Concept, with the front bumper from the Jeep Wrangler "The General". Additionally, the rear fascia and the bed seem to be influenced by the 2005 Jeep Gladiator Concept.

- The "Go Fast Fade" livery resembles the one found on the 1979 and 1980 Jeep J-10 Honcho.[1][2]
Design[]
The Kamacho assumes a robust design and an utilitarian appearance, where the front end is dominated by a bulky utility bumper with a protective frame above, which houses a towing winch, a license plate and two circular high-beam lights around the central area, while the outer sections bear black triangular sections with small hooks and mesh intakes. The upper area assumes a slanted shape and bears a black strip on the lowermost edge, a black grille with silver "CANIS" lettering embossed on the center and two unusable LED lights, while the outer sections house circular main lights and rectangular lights below, split between inner high-beam units and outer turn signals. The hood assumes an elevated profile around the center and has two safety latches/catches.
The sides of the vehicle are denoted by the bulky arches and the impressed areas around the middle, which span the whole lenght of the vehicle. The wheelbase area mounts black tubular side steps for access, while the cabin uses square-shaped frameless doors with black vertical handles and two black rear-view mirrors on the frontal doors. The cabin area mostly consists of a soft top similar to the Mesa and the Crusader, fitted with a floodlight bar similar to the Riata and the Barrage. A small bed can be seen on the back.
The rear end of the vehicle features a wide tailgate with "CANIS" embossed on it, while the rear quarters house a set of square tail lights, separated between the upper main/brake units and the lower turn signals. The rear bumper has similar features to the frontal one, being the central winch and the outer hooks with triangular intakes on the edges. However, the sections beside the winch opening house rectangular reverse lights, while the license plate is mounted on the passenger side, over the rear right vent. Two slanted exhausts can be seen beneath the hooks, while the underside has large sump guards on both ends, as expected from a vehicle of its type. The vehicle reuses the interior and dial set from various SUVs, namely the Cavalcade, the Baller and the BeeJay XL.
The primary color of the vehicle is applied to the bodywork and engine's cam covers, while the secondary color is applied on the fenders and bumpers. Its stock wheels share the same rim design as the Dubsta 6x6, the off-road variant of the Mesa and the Sandking XL, sharing the rim design with the "Six Gun" muscle wheels available in Los Santos Customs and other mod shops (although the tires retain the old tread pattern). The rims can also support a dedicated color, although naturally-generated examples may have one.

The Kamacho is an adept off roader, with high torque and ground clearance, giving it immense capability offroad. It is capable of tackling even the roughest terrain, with 50/50 torque distribution, giving it an advantage on uneven terrain. Durability is good and can be further improved with the addition of bullbars.
The Kamacho has great top speed and acceleration compared to vehicles like the Riata and the Dubsta 6x6, as well as good handling, with no signs of fishtailing. Its steering is relatively heavy due to its weight and length, though it can still manage turns easily.
The vehicle is powered by a single-cam 5.7L V8 engine with two air filters on it, powering all four wheels through a 5-speed gearbox. It shares the same engine sound from vehicles like the Granger and the Dubsta 6x6.
Installing any "Roll Cage" modification will increase its traction slightly, in the same way as spoilers.

Trivia[]
- The "Kamacho" name is derived from the Honcho trim package for the Jeep J10, offered from 1976 to 1983.
- The Jeep Crew Chief 715, which the Kamacho is based on, is the successor to the Jeep Kaiser M715, the real life counterpart of the Bodhi. This means that the Kamacho is technically the successor of the Bodhi.
Oversights[]
- The Kamacho's roof light does not appear to be symmetrical. The light itself appears to be split in half, with one half of the light being slightly dimmer and lower in texture quality.
- When the Kamacho has the tubular doors equipped, removing one either via collision or forced removal results in it turning into a stock door.
- The optional tubular doors share a hitbox with the stock doors.
- There is a spelling error in the vehicle's name in the advertisement card when loading into Online, incorrectly calling it the "Kamancho", notice the 'n'.
- The reverse lights will remain in place even if the rear bumper is detached.
